Well who ever is the moderator/administrator on the Facebook group, thanks for giving me the boot. You did me a favor. I'd been thinking about leaving that group for months, tired of the same ole BS getting repeatedly posted, just never got around to it. Hopefully, they have chosen a non-woke hosting service, as GoDaddy is shutting down sites as well as a number of other hosting companies.

We moved the forum here in 2018 when our previous host became very anti 2A. It was also around that time that I started the MeWe group since FB was becoming more of a PITA regarding the gun groups. But you are correct, the forum has existed in some fashion since the end of 2016. We moved to this host in 2018 after we talked with them in depth about the move. They assured us at the time that gun groups are safe. Just no porn or anything illegal, which of course is not what we're about.

Thanks. I had been in the habit of avoiding social media so it did not interfere with my job requirements.

I'm not surprised about the 2018 move, though I wasn't yet a member at that time. I did not know that MeWe had been around that long, but I don't intend to join it. The only reason I joined Facebook is to keep up with extended family, the only reason I joined any groups is because I can usually get answers quicker there. Only reason I joined CF Facebook group is because I was considering adding an Elite SC to the safe and wanted to know if anyone made a grip sleeve for using my SFx mags in it. Stuck around for the Elite SC giveaway and meant to leave shortly after, but didn't. Love the SFX, but decided that something a little smaller like the Taurus G3C, Ruger LC9, or Hellcat would be a better fit than the Elite SC. I'll stick with the forums.

Ncjw mentioned something happening in the last few months. The forum appearance changed and you might have rearranged the forums a little, but that's the only thing I know about. I figured maybe he was referring to a software upgrade and maybe a move to a new server.

What's wrong with porn, I love some good gun or car porn. Just no drag stuff please, don't need to see any overly Tacticooled ARs or Chevys dressed up like a Ford.

What happens if "they" decided to make guns like the Canik illegal? Will the hosts still support us then? Not trying to stir up any shit, just genuinely curious about that situation if it even came up in the discussion. Sorry, if I'm asking those questions in the wrong place.

Continuing on that last thought. . . IIRC the ar15.com issue was not that HoDaddy (sic) took down their site, but delisted their DNS. That is the issue with the Internet - no DNS, no nothing, unless you want to update your HOSTS file with the IP. . . I wish I knew more about the "dark" web. I believe they have an alternative to DNS, but I'm not really sure. The time is coming where that may be the only way to communicate.

Hard to really say. Those of us that run this forum and group just do it as a hobby, so we will probably just disappear. We definitely don't have the funds to try and survive with our own servers. Let's hope that the host we're with now doesn't become anti 2A. Thankfully this forum is small enough that we may fly under the radar. But that's why we try to use different platforms, in case one of them should disappear. Most likely the FB group will be the first to disappear. And if the host continues to allow us to exist as a forum, there's the potential that ISP's can block sights from their subscribers.

FWIW, I no longer believe a word that the FBI says, so their report that Reps are planning armed protests seems to be the Big Lie.

Coordinated with the Dems to make DC into an armed camp. Also, it provides cover for no one going to the inauguration anyway and Biden not being able to give a coherent speech.

BTW, anyone doubting that the Dems stole the election via drop boxes, mail in ballots and auto-registration, their first bill of the new Congress was to make all of that mandatory nationwide. Move along, nothing to see here.
