Ordered two 1000rd boxes of (supposedly) Geco 9MM 115gr. These ship bulk in a Plano ammo box. The first shipment (lot# SAV22G0133) was headstamped Geco and shot fine. I just opened the second box (lot# SAV22G0137) and noticed it was headstamped "TRN 20", which is Turan. I talked with ASO and they said it is Geco ammunition, but using Turan casings. I say BS! There is already a reddit post about this Frankenstein ammo blowing up some guy's XD. Looks like ASO is up to their old tricks, like they don't have enough of their other ammo on safety recall. ASO informed me that they don't do exchanges or refunds. We'll see about that. Buyer beware of this ammo and ammoshoponline!

I am disputing this with my credit card company, and would encourage anyone else with this ammo to do the same. I don't know how ASO thinks they can get away with this. As far as I'm concerned, this is Turan ammo. To answer the question, there was a recall on certain lots the white box Geco ammo some months ago. It was on the ammo made at the US plant. Now I hear Berreta has purchased RUAG (Norma/Geco parent company). Who knows what's going on now!

I have made several purchases from ASO and Normashooting (sister site) and have not had a problem with them or their ammo.
However, if they are selling ammo as Geco but it is marked as something else, they should be upfront about it. Their no return policy leaves you hanging. I would also call it bait and switch. Disappointing.
