I've got a Rock Island that I bought from a friend...nice, but not my favorite shooter. I have too many others I like better, and not enough time. And 10mm is expensive...

It's not too bad if you reload but if you don't, I agree it can get costly.

Have a G20, need to get the slide cut on it eventually or buy an aftermarket, occasionally toy with the idea of trading for a g40. its got trijicon night sights, ghost 3.5 connector, lightened springs, tungsten guide rod.

I agree with our Turkish friend...

And that includes the 44 Magnum and all of the silly Casull's and .500's.

However, sometimes you have to do something just for the hell of it.

Perhaps in Turkey doesnt make much sense but in North America, whether strolling down main street or hiking in the wilderness 10mm will stop any 2 or 4 legged predators you may come across.

Depending what its coming out of .44 can be ok to shoot. I've shot .500 out of I believe 4" and 8" revolvers neither was enjoyable. .500 might be more effective on a Grizzly but I'll have 6+ rounds of 10mm on target in the time it takes to get off 2 accurate .500 rounds off.

Why have a 10mm? because I can
Why have anything other than standard Nato calibers?

Wouldn't that be a boring range session??

I don't like Glocks, but until Canik makes a 10mm :)) , my G20 and 200gr FNHC ammo give me great piece of mind when in the Idaho mountains. I am fairly impressed with 9mm 147gr hardcast poly coated FN ammo for penetration (aspen firewood) as well, so perhaps I will pack my Canik TP9DA. :-O

XDm10mm, also bought a thousand rd.s of S&B 180 grain from Midway before the panic. Got the birthday deal too, 279.00. Probably won't see a price like that for awhile, if ever. Just finished reloading some.

I have a Glock 40 in 10m with Red Dot and light that I pester hogs with here in Georgia.
I also have a Glock 29 I carry as a woods walking gun and CCW to and from the woods.
I have always reloaded so 10mm is cheap to shoot.

Glock 20 here. It's all stock except traction grips. Right now 10mm ammo is much more available than 9mm or .40. And the prices haven't really jumped up on it so much. I have a 9mm Springfield XDG and wouldn't mind trying out the Springfield 10mm version too.
