TP9SF Elite Combat (FDE) Model - +3 Magazines? Not available

Post by extremist » Sat Nov 30, 2019 9:20 am

Searched a lot of threads, not a lot of discussion. Why is Century/Canik not offering the 15+3 Mags for sale? Can't find anyone that offers them. One of the things keeping me from "pulling the trigger" on getting one of these pistols.

Love it, but why no mags? 15 rounders are available. Only reference to the +3 extension has been from Midwestgunworks? $40? Crazy. :-O

Anyone know the scoop?

They had the +3 mag extensions available for a short while on their site. My guess would be a limit on imports. Hopefully they will be available again soon. Or someone like Taylor Freelance will offer a +3.

Taylor Freelance has +4 mag extensions.

Cain Arms also has +4 mag extensions. You have to seacrh in the page for "Canik", all of the plus bases are on one page. Cain has a 20% discount this weekend. I just ordered two of these to try out.

TBH - the Taylor Freelance look like a higher quality item, but I decided to buy the Cain Arms for the price and to try the quality of a 3D printed item.

I found those searching for magazine options after reading this thread.

I guess I should have made my original post clearer: where are the CANIK FACTORY SHIPPED 18 round (15+3) magazines for the Elite Combat? I shouldn't have to buy aftermarket ones. They (Canik/Century Arms) should offer the same ones shipped with the gun. Shouldn't they? Am I off base? This doesn't annoy any of you Elite Combat owners?

It is annoying and it's been mentioned many times. Just like how you cannot get the magwell that comes on the EC aftermarket as I'd love to have one for my other Caniks.

Your mention of the Midwest Gun Works mag extension made me think that you might be looking for an alternative solution.

I agree that the magazines that come with the gun should be available.

How well do those +4 base pads work from Cain? Figure with a magazine spring from the 18 or 20 round mags it would be a sweet set up for a flush fit 20 rounder for the elite
