New to the forum from TN

Post by BB70CHEVELLE » Thu Sep 12, 2019 11:04 am

New to the forum and to gun ownership in general. Recently purchased mine and my wifes first gun, she went with a walther CCP m2 and I went with a S&W M&P 40C 2.0, Quickly after that I picked up a hammerli tac r1 due to how cheap .22lr ammo is. After hitting the range a few times wer'e both hooked and want to add more! I decided to order myself up a 9mm due to it being so much cheaper then 40 to shoot and went with the canik tp9sf elite one series and grabbed a case of geco 124gr to go with it. Should have both by next week! Reading all the reviews I'm very excited to get to the range with this gun and start putting some rounds through it!

Had one I was restoring then sold it to build a mustang for ultra street only to watch that class get way over my budget before I could even finish the car so ended up selling it too. Definetly regret selling the chevelle but some day ill have another one.

66 Chevy Chevelle. My very first car. Paid $50.00 for it when I was 15. Towed it home and worked on it for a year until I got my drivers license.

Beware of Dragons. For you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

A Chevelle for a Mustang??

The only way to redeem yourself is to trade that S&W .40 for another Canik or two....

Didnt want to cut up the chevelle to make it a track only car though for what I put into the chassis/ suspension of the mustang I could be driving the chevelle right now. Yeah not my best thought out decision at the time...

Wouldn't mind adding a tp9sfx, My focus for the rest of this year is stock up on ammo and get in as much range time as possible so next year I can get my CC permit.

FWIW, here in NC the qualification consists of 10 shots each at 3 yds, 5 yds and 7 yds, at a full size human target, and a 70% hit rate anywhere on target passes, with a .22 if you want. You can literally do it blindfolded.

I would check the requirements in TN before spending too much time on it.

I beleive in 2020 TN is getting rid of the shooting portion of the process. First time out with my 40 I would have passed based on those requirements so definetly not worried now, Honestly was expecting it to be stricter than that but I guess thats why they're getting rid of it.
