It also makes it easier to disassemble as you don't require a tool. The only downside is that after thousands of rounds, the very end of the barrel is a little roughed up (as in the end is not smooth to the touch, you can feel a bit of roughness that polish won't take out), but it hasn't affected accuracy or functionality.

I see the photos of these beautiful 1911s and want one so bad. I just wish I could afford just one of the nice ones. Not a Safe queen but a Nice functional target pistol. Maybe some day.
