Just picked up my TP9DA

Post by LucaBrasi » Thu Jun 13, 2019 5:02 pm

New member from NC here.

Brought home my new TP9DA today and broke it down for a cleaning. I gotta say I am quite impressed with how this thing is put together. Quite a value for $350. Hoping to get it to the range this weekend. If it shoots anything like the SF I rented a few weeks ago I will be more than satisfied.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the DA. It's an excellent handgun, and a great shooter. I own a couple of them since I'm a fan of DA/SA handguns for conceal carry.

I just got my DA 2 months ago or so. Its a great shooter. All i had to do was lube mine and it has eaten everything I have shot through it from steel case 115 gr to 100 grain frangible ammo.

I don't care what kind of gun you have, you have the best forum name in town!! B-(
Kidding aside, you will love the DA - fantastic shooter with great ergo's.
Throw a couple of hundred Nato rounds through first to warm her up, maybe.

Enjoy!

Thanks guys. Got a hundred rounds of 124 grain NATO ready to go - and the slide locked back since I finished cleaning her up. Now I just have to make sure the Wife doesn't try to steal it from me!

My DA's and V2's have been good about not having feeding issues during break in like some of my other Caniks. That being said, I still run a couple boxes of NATO with any new Canik. Damn RSA is really stiff, but I like the fact the guns are built to take punishment. Since Canik is a NATO manufacturer, they list on their site that Caniks are tested to 60,000 rounds routinely without having to replace any parts. That's a pretty good track record in my mind. After I shoot the two boxes of NATO though, my Caniks will eat anything I feed them.

Not sure about that...we have a Dungbeetle and a Moldydogpoo...pretty pungent names that are hard to beat.
