What thread are these screws?

Post by JDN58 » Thu May 21, 2020 6:34 pm

Anyone know for sure what size screws hold the rear sight and or red Dot sight bases on? I'm thinking they are metric because a metric hex key seemed to fit the best. Thanx in advance!

M3 x .7 thread pitch. Depending on optic used, 10mm length might be too long...

I use 10mm with my Holosun 507C for a reference.

I will be using them to remount the factory rear sight. Hope DO-IT has these little devil's. FWIW, the previous owner had loctited the optic plate screws. On top of the, the screw heads were already slightly deformed. I got lucky enuff to get one out, the other head stripped right away. I dremeled the head off and used tiny pair of dykes to screw the rest out. No Mars, all good!

I'm going to have the same problem; stripped screw head on the mounting plate. I hate hex drive, much prefer Torx!! Anyway, thanks for the tip on removing!
