Canik EDC

Post by ranebowcyxx » Sun May 12, 2019 10:26 pm

A cool thing happened today, I told my wife I would sell my CCP to buy another Canik, she said "keep the Walther and just buy another gun if you want". What's a guy to do?
I have an SFX now but I want to get an EDC Canik, I like the Elite but I carry IWB, anyone carry the Elite?
I'm curious what some of you have a an EDC Canik.

If you don't need it right this second, you might wait and see if the sub compact is released in the US anytime soon. Plenty of speculation on when this might be though.

So, buy an Elite now and then a sub compact later :D

I love my Elite and Elite Combat, but typically carry a TP9DA or V2 if I carry something other than my Walther P99c. But, I also am a fan of DA/SA handguns, so YMMV. The grip on the Elite is a bit shorter than the DA.

I carry my Elite AIWB in a Smoky Mountain Concealment holster on a NexBelt 1.5" gun belt.

Another vote for giving the Sub Elite a chance. I'm hopeful it will hit the States soon at a reasonable price, and be a great performer...

(*) Buy a couple of boxes of 124 gr. WWB NATO to break in the stiff RSA. Cheap, and shoots great in the Canik! (*)

But you know that the sub Elite will hit the market at $100 higher than 6-8 months later...can you wait that long?

You think it will be 100 higher? I hope not. Regardless I am lucky that the T-100 I got recently will hold me over in the carry realm until the "Mini-me" comes out and settles in price ( I cant see them being more expensive then the current M&Ps or Sigs that they will undoubtedly be aimed at un-seating.) $300ish give or take is my guess for release and then settle down right around 269-289 range.

Look at the SFx...came out at nearly $500 (if I remember correctly); now it is much lower. Same with the Elite.

At $300 it'll be the cheapest RMR cut pistol out by about $220 I doubt its going to be that cheap even as a bare bones one model.

I also carry an Elite every day in a Legacy Firearms AIWB holster. Love it, comfortable, etc.
