Ok guys what are we using for pistols and ars? I have a streamlight tlr-1 hl on my bedside gun but have contemplated switching to the Olight Valkyrie 2. Then looking at ar lights there is a nice 1000 lumen streamlight or a 2000 lumen Olight. Not sure what to do here, lets hear your opinions.

Not in the market for one but 2000 lumen? Wow.

We are in a civil war..
..we just haven’t brought out the guns.
I'm sticking with my Olight PL Mini 2's. Decent illumination, and they are smaller and compact. Plus, the new design allows for them to be placed on almost every handgun I own, since it slides on rails into place. I currently have two of them, one black and one tan.
I have several lights, I have a TLR1HL on one of my AR's, the 1000lumen Valkerie on my Scorpion, and another on G21, I have a couple PL2 Mini's as well along with TLR6 on my G42 and a TLR8. I also have a few cheapo lights in the 200-500lm range. The full size Valkerie is one of my favorites, though I'm thinking of getting something brighter maybe a Warrior. If its going to go on a carry gun make sure you can find a holster to accommodate it first.
Anyone had an issue mounting the PL-2 Valkyrie on the sfx rail? Both the glock & 1913 are too big. The 1200 Lumens are crazy and the strobe messes me up just being behind it My XD has no problem. After looking at the 2 rails of the XD & sfx they are different.

How does the tlr1-hl work on the ar platform?
It works well, I have it setup on a mlok 10.5 upper using the pressure switch kit.
I mentioned I'd shout back after receiving my Olight. I entered this in another post here, sorry for the duplicate:
"I received my Olight in the mail today, but after swapping the Picatinny adapter in, I can't get it to mount on the DA? It slides right on the Elite, and on my wife's VP9, but that first slot on the DA seems off.
Did yours mount right up to your DA without hassle? I wound up taking off the adapter, and it mounts pretty snug, but am I taking a risk doing so?
This said, the Mini with 400 lumens seem pretty potent for what I wanted this for - my nightstand gun."
It's comfortable and easy with either my trigger finger or support hand thumb to reach and press the ambi-switches. This is my first light, but I like what I see thus far.
Trying to explain more specifically, the adapter doesn't sit flush into that first row behind the muzzle under the rail on the DA, so I can't get the right side of the lights mount to grab the rail. Snug as a bug on the other two guns. Odd.
What is the purpose of the adapter - simply for a flush, tight fit?

Or

For my ar15s. I like the lifetime warranty on the streamlight though
