Need 3 testers

Post by Tejas Products » Tue Jan 29, 2019 9:26 am

Hello everyone...

Looking for the first 3 people to reply to this post to be a tester for me. I am introducing a new universal engraved grip tape product and I need you to try them out and report back to me.

You will receive a 5" x 4" engraved faux leather grip tape sample.

RULES.

1. The firearm must have a polymer grip. Can be pistol or rifle just as long as there is a handgrip area to be covered.
2. Cannot be a Canik
3. You are willing to take quality pictures of your application and willing to email me a fairly detailed review.

Below are 6 different patterns.
a. Zebra
b. Tattered Flag
c. Trees
d. Double Flag
e. Snakeskin
f. psychodelic

Once the first 3 members sign up, I will message you for your contact information and you can request which pattern you like. If 2 of you request the same pattern, I will ask that you please chose another instead.

Maybe cross post in the General Firearm discussion area. I'll give it a shot on my CZ P09 if you don't get any takers. I'm kind of surprised though no one has jumped on this yet.

If noone else ends up volunteering I can do it on a glock 21 or m&p. I didnt want it to look like mod's trying to snag all the free stuff :)

No worries.... I am going to count both of you as 1 and 2... Just need one more who is interested..... Let me know which pattern you want to try.

Directions are no different really that what you get if you buy any other grip tape out there that is just a rectangle.... Obviously the only difference is that mine are thicker, different colors and of course engraved patterns....

My recommendation is to cover your grip with either blue painters tape or masking tape... mark the outline on the tape, transfer it to the grip material, cut it out and then re-apply to your gun.... A little more time consuming that pre-cut grips, but I am trying to hit a broader market... I don't have the resources to get copies of all of the possible combinations out there... I thought about buying some blue guns, but even then it would get quite expensive...

I'll try out the tattered flag one. IIRC your in or near Dallas? If I'm wrong and you're near Houston I'd let you use some of my pistols to make some patterns.

Don't know what it takes to do the patterns if its easy equipment you can carry around but if you're down visiting family I'm in Magnolia so Woodlands and Spring are close by.

Was just at his house a few months back... Really growing up out there... I remember when we wanted to go from Spring to Conroe we would pack our backs... now it's just a quick trip down 45

I have a Ruger SR9c that doesn't have anything on the grip that I can try one on if that's an option.
If it is...I'll go with the double flag.

I need a rifle stand. Another name is rifle display. This needs to be a little different.

1) Need something when I smith on rifles. (Light work)
2) Needs to be sturdy. (Larger base?)
3) Needs to be a little taller than a display would be.
4) Needs to be in two (2) separate pieces. Forearm and butt stock end.
5) Maybe a way to attach some leather or Cushing material on top of stand where the rifle would sit.

Not sure what a good workable height would be but not to the point where it would tip due to weight of rifle. I might also consider another geared more towards a “display” for my LGS.

I’ve looked at Tipton for myself and use someone else’s at the shop. Not that impressed however acrylic can get pricey. This would not be a “workvice” but more of a “stand” for cleaning, scope, light work type of thing.

A search on rifle display stands gives you an idea. Just kickin this around, might not be the way to go.

Thanks.....

So I looked up what you are talking about.... It would be much cheaper to buy off the shelf. I would be spending hours just designing the parts and trying to fit them together to make the entire set.... I hate to turn down a challenge, but you would laugh out loud when you saw the cost....
