There's been some questions in the past about the interchangeability of the TP9V2 and TP9DA barrel. My uneducated guess says NO. The V2 barrel will fit and cycle with snap caps in my DA. However, the DA barrel will fit in my V2, but I can not rack the slide and it will not cycle. If anyone has a different experience, let me know. Makes sense though given the square cut on the DA vs the V2.

Janik, I was looking at the shapes of the barrels you put up here and am wondering if your v2 barrel was maybe a later manufacture or different barrel all together? It seems that the v1, v2, and SA barrels are all the same as the DA barrel, assuming that the DA barrel is the one on the left. If you look at the construction of the v2, it has the same narrow top with the serrations as the SA and DA (minus the serrations). The v1, v2, and SA were all pretty much the same construction until the SA mod 2 where the barrel construction on the right in your picture really started to come into focus. All of the SF series pistols have the barrel on the right, pre-SF barrels seem to be the ones on the left.

Check out this barrel I found for the SA and let me know what you think. The one on prepper gun shop for the v2 also has the same narrow top that the DA has.

You've got them backwards, the V2 is on the Left. The original Canik55 TP9, V2 and the SA have a more angular slide with the anti-glare ridges. When the DA and SA Mod2 were released, they had a flatter, wider top like the SF and other models. It's also noted on the Century Arms website in the threaded barrel and replacement barrel listings they "will not fit the SA".

Here is a picture of the V2 and DA side by side, you can see the construction of the barrel and the slide.

I didn’t know if this was ever finalized, or i missed it. Does the V2 barrel that preppers sells fit and function properly in the TP9DA? I would really like to find a threaded barrel for my newly ordered DA.

The barrel will function when cycles with dummy rounds. But I never have tried it at the range. I still think there could be an issue give the different design of the lugs on each barrel. But as of yet, nothing definitive.

In the comments, he says they are using the Canik threaded barrel for what looks like an SF or SA mod.2
