I came across this "Optic Lens Pen" and thought it would be great to clean the red dot optic lens. On one end there is a soft brush to remove any dust and dirt, and the other is a soft pad with carbon to actually "clean" the lens.

Here's a video how how to use it...

Good idea. I have a few of them on hand from my days in photography. They worked great for cleaning my lenses in the field.

Yea...I was heavy into photography for a number of years. Did a lot of sports photography and Photoshop stuff. Moved from film to digital with a D50 and then moved to a Nikon D300 when it was released. Got the motor drive for the increased continuous frame rate. Then spent 5x the body on lenses. My favorite is still the 70-200 f2.8...love that lens!

Lol, no kidding. Awesome lens. I didn't go anywhere without my 70-200 2.8 and 24-70 2.8. Had a couple D700's and a D3 when I shuttered my photography business. It's been few years so I don't even know now what the latest/greatest Nikon gear is. I use my phone for almost everything now. Did some sports photography, commercial photography and a crap ton of weddings. I don't miss it. My 100 f2.8 macro lens was another of my favorites. I used to teach photography at a college in Arizona, around the time of the transition to digital. I miss teaching a little bit.

Has anybody mounted a Holosun 507C sight on a Canik? If so, which plate worked?

I'm getting ready to order one for my Combat Elite.
I'm certain one of them will work. If nothing else, I'll just see which one matches the 507C screw pattern.
No problem with screws, I have many different sizes.

I still have to order mine. I have a Holoson on my CZ Scorpion EVO.

The Circle/Dot setup doesn't do much for slow fire target shooting.
But for combat/defense, it lets you acquire the dot and get it on target VERY fast.
The 32 MOA circle is better suited to pistol use/range than the 65 MOA on the older model.
I know, the manual still has 65 MOA.

WOW! Only thing it didn't do was stop the spittle at the corners of my mouth. It was pretty close and only needed a minor tweak. In my book, money well spent.

Now I need to shoot it (a lot) and practice acquiring the circle-dot from the draw. I'll start slow and shoot carry optic at the outlaw steel matches.

My "old" Vortex Viper just got relegated to the 9mm carbine.

Will be buying a red dot soon for a sfx, All I have ever used is EO Tech, what is a decent lower priced one with a reticle like a circle & dot that is dependable HELP! In no hurry but soon will get it. Old eyes here don't see as well as they used to.

THANKS!

Sounds like you picked a winner!!!! Glad you're happy with it. I haven't seen anyone with one at the matches I've shot at so far. Would like to see one in person.

Amazon has a kit that includes an air bulb, a soft brush, a lens pen clone, a couple lens cleaning cloth and some disposable lens wipes for around $9. I got one when I picked up my sports cam a couple years ago as the lens on it or its case is always getting nasty from something. Then I started using it on my scopes and red dots not long after I noticed how well it works on the sports cam. Add a small bottle of antifog spray or antifog wipes and you have your shooting glasses covered as well.

Circle/Dot for a pistol pretty much comes down to Holosun 507C, $300 at Amazon.

There are a few sites that have them cheaper if you register with them and then add them to the cart. While many folks have issues or had issues with Botech I ordered the 507c from them Monday and it shipped the next day and is in route( at Houston center coming to San Antonio) via DHL even though I get a USPS tracking number. $229+tax and ended up $248 total. Setting my Venom 6MOA aside to sell it or put it on the sub elite if it blesses us soon😏

Yup, I ordered Sunday and it's out for delivery today. Curious, why was your cost $248? Did you get hit with tax for some reason?
