The Canik Picture Thread!

Post by Janik » Sun Oct 14, 2018 1:44 pm

Post up pics of your Caniks and tell us a little about them. I'll get the thread kicked off with my humble Canik collection. Other brands of firearms are ok to include if pictured with a Canik.

At the time of this picture, I do not own an SFT or Elite Combat, yet.

That's not a "humble Canik collection". That's an amazing Canik collection!

Oh I understand, believe me. Like I said earlier, those Czechs has it going on for real, the product quality. They reported months back on the CZ forum CZ is building a manufacturing plant here, that CZ pistols will be produced in the USA very soon.

Have you seen this pistol? Designed by the same folks who designed the Scorpion and sold the design/rights to CZ, to manufacture. The Alien from Laugo Arms is going to be a serious game changer in the competition pistol circuit. Unit prices are rumored to be in the STI custom pistol range.

Much loved TP9. About 15k down the pipe, 4k between cleanings, probably should replace the recoil spring :)

I need an original TP9! I keep stalking Gunbroker looking for a deal on one. As soon as I get the TP9 and Elite Combat, my collection will be up to date.

Still just as gritty as day one, but for every 10 mags through the TP9 we might put one through the v2 :)

Great ergos, frame has good heft, It's just a better gun!

OK...

First was the SFx which is an awesome gun. I have a build thread here, but to summarize...
  • Springco RSA (white spring).
Cajun Gun Works Reduced Power FP plunger spring.
Glock 28 Newton Red FP spring.
    Freedom Smith Trigger.
    Burris FF3 8moa red dot.
    Talon rubber grip.
    SMC Comp Holster.
    and some minor polishing.
I have a Taylor Freelance mag well on backorder.

Very awesome gun!!! :-BD

The trigger is damn near perfect, at least in my humble opinion. The Elite Combat, just like the original is a damn laser beam. Right out of the box making nice ragged holes in paper targets. Reset is incredibly short, and the grip with the flared magwell fits my medium sized hands perfectly. Curious to hear from guys with larger hands how it fits them. I'll be going back to the range tomorrow to shoot it side by side my SFx with the Fat Daddy and one of my original Elites. After that I'll do a first impressions vid for the YouTube channel.

^^ The trigger is awesome!!! Just a little bit of initial travel, then you're at the wall and a perfect, crisp, clean break!

After shooting 250 rounds through it today as it was delivered, I couldn't leave well enough alone...

After all it is a "COMBAT"!
