I've been running a Jpoint for a short while now on my SC and finally got my hands on a SHIELD RMSc. The Jpoint is made by SHIELD, but is a plastic housing, whereas the SHIELD RMSc is made with aero-space grade aluminum. The optic is polymer, but the sight picture seems clearer than my Jpoint. Size of course they are virtually identical, as the Jpoint uses the SHIELD footprint. Got it sighted in, and it works great. That of course is to be expected. Other than the Sig Romeo Zero, there aren't a lot of options yet on the market. But Holosun has the 507k and 407k coming to market soon, along with Swamp Fox Sentinel. I believe there's more in development as well from companies like ADE. Anyway, really digging the SHIELD RMSc so far. I put is on the SC for a short while then put it on the DA where I had a Jpoint mounted. Probably going to keep it on the DA for some time, since I shoot it a lot more than the SC. I have the Jpoint back on the SC for right now.

What adapter plate did you use to mount the Red Dot on the DA?

I have been looking everywhere but cant seem to find one that they guarantee will fit. Also have you found a threaded barrel for the DA by any chance?

The adapter plate is from The Glock Store for the Glock G43. I've had a second one on order since the beginning of May and it still hasn't shipped yet. No idea on a threaded barrel for the DA. I can't find one anywhere either.

That's the one from the Glock Store. The outer impact may work, but it'll be taller and hang over the edge farther. I like the one I'm using since it's a lot narrower. But keep in mind I've had a second one on order since May 5th and they won't respond to me about an update on my order. Really irritating me. But, the mount works great and doesn't hang over the side edges like some of the larger optics.

I think that I mentioned this on another thread, but the Romeo fits like it was designed just for the SC.

They make a great pairing.

No idea on a threaded barrel for the DA. I can't find one anywhere either.

I figured I'd help you since you did me a solid and helped me with finding a red dot mount for the ole DA. The threaded barrel for the SF ELITE fits in the DA. The only thing is it sticks out quite a bit.......but with a comp it should make it a little less (I believe like 1/8th). When I get a comp I will post some more pictures so you can see if you like it or not. I haven't gone to the range to test the functionality yet but as soon as I get a chance I will let you know. Went to the range to test out the barrel. Tried loading the first round got a FTF. Thought it was just the round or the mag, so I swapped out both. Went to load the other round and got another FTF. I took the gun apart and inspected the barrel and the feed ramp angle is too sharp. So looks like there will be some down time till it gets fixed.

Left side is Original DA Barrel and right side is the new Threaded Barrel. You can clearly see where the feed ramp has to be filed down on the new barrel.

Lens scratches very easy, watch out for that

I like the quality of the optic and dot, but well, it broke.

Warranty was a shit show and took ages. I just got a Deltapoint Pro instead.

Update:

Took my threaded barrel to my local gunsmith and got the feed ramp issue fixed. Mounted my EGW Red Dot Mounting plate and now she's good to go.

If anyone is in the Houston area and is looking for a gunsmith I really really recommend Eddie's Custom Gun Shop. This man knows his stuff. Gave him a call to see if he could help me since I didn't have the tools needed, told me to go ahead and head that way. When I arrived I explained to him what was going on and in 15 minutes I was out the door with my gun ready for the range.

Glad I didnt get the RMSc...... Went with a Vortex Viper instead. RMSc had a lot of complaints about the glass scratching easily.

Viper has a bad track record. Thankfully though Vortex has decent customer service. I've had my Venom though a couple years now and it's been great.

Oops.......... I read reviews and they were back and forth so I just decided to give it a try.

Good thing is though, Vortex has excellent customer service. Anyone who had a problem with their Viper, Vortex took care of them. Some of them they even replaced the Viper with a Venom.
