Creed isn't a compact, it's basically a poor man's PPQ. Even the CCP is chunky for a single-stack 9mm. The new PPQ SC is their double-stack subcompact offering, which is high on my wish list, but priced out of my budget. Hence, my interest in the Sub Elite, which falls in the same size/capacity bracket. If they can't price it at a significant discount over the Walther option, it will lose any advantage it might have over my first-choice PPQ SC.

(Editing to add)
In a growing bracket, with a lot of other subcompact double stack options coming available, most recently, the Ruger Security 9 compact. Haven't seen one in real life yet, but at around the $300 mark, it is an intriguing option.

Well the security 9 ( which I own) is a solid pistol at 300 price point. If the compact is made in same fashion, i agree it’s a very intriguing option of a quality manufacturer that could be relied on. I cannot see CanIk sullying the TP9 moniker by not translating all the good they have in the elite by making it something completely different. I am going to wait for my true compact decision until we see the elite come out. Meanwhile my security 9 is my truck gun until I get more trigger time with this glock and see if it makes me feel comfortable. Honestly if it wasn’t such a large pistol my APX or the SFx would be my choice. I certainly would open carry either one without hesitation ( taking the vortex off the SFx though if I did.)

I just yesterday picked up, and shot today, the APX Compact, and love it. Looking for a holster and it will be my compact carry. Bid on it and won for $349, and got the APX $75 cash card promo to boot. I'm going to hang on to the card and hopefully apply it to the Canik if it shows up this year.

That new APX Carry had my interest until I discovered that it was yet another single-stack. It seems superfluous alongside the Nano, and I prefer the aesthetics of the Nano anyway. The only single stack 9mm I'm vaguely interested in adding to add to my collection is the PPS M2.

The APX compact was also in my radar. Beretta really did a good job on making a nice shooting pistol with that line. The Centurion almost won out ( mid sized model) when I initially purchased. I was looking for a full size though for open carry and hard range work. The smaller frame gave concern for longer shooting sessions though. Then the SFx came into my life lol. I just sold off one of my 10/22 builds and put the money I made and my 75 card aside for TP9 sub elite when it arrives. Worse case they make it meh and I use the money to buy the combat elite lol.

Am I the only one that actually likes the Taurus G2C? Easy conceal size, double stack, not a bad trigger(I’m switching it out soon, thanks Galloway) extremely easy on the wallet, got it polished it lubed it shot it, no issues 1000+ rounds so far

Ah, nope! I really like my G2C as well. Like the fit, size, capacity, concealability, and it shoots surprisingly easily for such a compact weapon. I used a belt sander to remove the pinkie extension from one of the mags for carry and REALLY like that config. Over the weekend, I spent some time gently sanding down the grip texture, which was a bit too aggressive for carry though. I really do prefer the previous PT111 G2 grip texture. I'm getting tired of this hyper aggressive texturing that's being used at the moment. Yeah, I understand why it's there, but clothes hang on it, it's extremely uncomfortable against skin.

G2C has been on my radar for awhile, and I'm about to pull the trigger given the $179 prices I've seen lately.

I had to fine tune the trigger safety on mine, it had the notorious hang up that the G2C is known for. Unfortunately, that trigger safety is a bit wobbly; it's the single weak point on the entire pistol.

Mine has the same hang up, debating playing with it or just getting the Galloway setup.

I had Tejas do a grip wrap for me, pics will be coming soon

Do it! I found one with a purple frame for $175 after rebate. Once I post pics you’ll understand why purple

I thought this was about the Canik Sub Elite? Hardly mentioned in this last page. Why not post Beretta, Taurus, etc. in a different forum?

Because everyone was expecting an announcement this week due to the NRA Show. Since it starts tomorrow and no announcement yet, it isn't worth talking about the Sub.

I'm not holding my breath for the sub Elite. Unless we start seeing reviews from some Youtubers, I don't expect it in the U.S. market anytime soon, if at all. Generally with a new model we see Sootch, Mrgunsngear and some others review it a couple weeks before it's released.

From what I have read that is correct.

I am also interested now in that Tristar T 100 in 9 mm. Looks to be a solid pistol and the right size. Any thoughts?

Solid pistol, triggers ok, gets better as it wears in but CGW parts will make it alot nicer. Only negative thing for me i can come up with about it is it has a saftey instead of decocker and that cant be changed.
