Yeah, which I would have no intention of putting on a CC pistol. I haven't even seriously considered a RMR for my SFx, which, as a range pistol, is more suitable for customizing.

I'm normally pretty happy to keep the factory sights on a handgun, except for the Heinie "Straight Eight” sight that was on my Millennium Pro PT145. I still regret selling that pistol...

Just wondering if anyone has seen one of these at a LGS or online anywhere?

I just stumbled upon this photo, of the Sub Elite alongside the SFx.

Image

I don't see the allure of taking such a svelte pistol and adding sitck a chunky weapon light. Keep it simple, keep it slick.

Agreed. I know some people feel the need for a weapons mounted light on their conceal carry, but I have no interest in it. I also have no need for a red dot, since if I did have to use my firearm in a self defense situation, I doubt I'd have time to aim it. I believe I read recently that most self defense shootings occur within 5 yards or less nowadays.

It does take some of the charm off the natural design of the gun, but I understand the tactical need.
There still isn't much new info on the internet; has anyone seen/heard any further info on possible US pricing?

Not for the US, but here's a new listing for a Slovenian dealer:

https://www.365-plus.com/canik-tp9-sub-elite

Listed price equivalent to $583.98.

Sadly close to $600, much more expensive than the $370 my SFx cost. Unless they can lower the price for US sales, this loses a lot of its appeal.

Thanks for the info. That is a bit high, I agree. $500 or under would much better fit my pocket book.
I'd been looking at the Beretta APX Compact & the M&P 2.0 Compact prior to hearing of the Sub Elite, both reasonably priced, and Beretta has a $75 rebate/gift card (pre-paid charge card) offer until 4/30. I want a compact, but prefer full ambi functionality, and there doesn't seem to be too many compacts in this category. I very much like my father-in-law's VP9 SK, but that is a bit out of my budget as well, as is anything Sig.
Tough waiting game for this Canik....not sure I'll last :-?

Ugh the more pics I see the more I want it. I've been wanting to get a revolver now for a few years and was ready to buy one until I saw this, and in tungsten no less. I can match my Elite and have a carry gun that's even lighter. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I'm wondering if it will fit my holster or if I will need a new one.

You won't go wrong with the APX or M&P compacts. If you want something else to consider, you can pick up a SAR B6C for very cheap...have a look... :YMDAYDREAM:

$5-600 is about the average price of the competition in that size and optic cut. CZ, Glock MOS, FN, M&P are all in that nieghborhood. Hopfully it'll end up on the low end of the price scale.

Thanks Badgerboy, the B6C is a nice looking gun, though I'd like the option to mount a light/laser if I choose to down the road.

I am going to predict the pricing for US is going to be just under the 375 mark if not closer to 325 to start. We can’t use Europe’s pricing market as their laws and availability/ economics etc make things way over priced due to smaller buyers market. Being late to the game Century Arms is going to have to “make a hole and make it wide” as my SNCO persona would say. I was on the fence for what to get as my compact/carry. Almost got the Glock 19 w/ commy state friendly magazines ( ok ok you got me I bought it but it was a stupid good deal at 295 from a retiring friend who never shot it) but I digress...this is definitely going to be fondled before bedding, I mean buying.

Originally all the pics I saw of it were RMR cut model now it looks like they've got non RMR I'd expect it to msrp at around the same as the regular Elites MSRP, RMR cut I would expect a MSRP in the low 500's. CZ's late to the game with the p10s but good luck finding one in stock anywhere when you do find one most shops are charging $30 over MSRP for it. So demand for good subcompacts is still quite high.

The Sig P365 is the hot new standard and it can be found for $475 or so. The Walther PPQ M2 sub is $425. So I would think that $400 would be the upper limit for the Canik, maybe $375 or so. The RMR cut is cool but never made any sense for carry.

All of the above are larger and heavier than my .380, so I probably won't be carrying them anyway, so if I end up buying a Canik sub it will be only because I have truly become a Fanatik.

Never mind. It’s a 4” barrel so not really in the compact class.
