Sig Romeo Zero works as well, and is about half the price of the SHIELD. https://www.opticsplanet.com/sig-sauer- ... sight.html
Sub Model coming only compatible with SHIELD, no plates for other red dots. Or Good luck with CNC
Yeah, that's why Canik needs to clarify. If you don't think it comes with plates, what are those plates in the photos above? Does the Shield come with some sort of plate for mounting? There's definitely something there which is odd if the slide cut is milled directly for the Shield sights.

@Janik did you read that somewhere specifically about the SC or are you just judging by size. Or do they have the same mount pattern?

Also, what happened to the mag well?!?!  I doubt I'd keep in on the SC but it could quickly find a home on my SFX :-D
I spoke my self directly with Canik Factory. What they said to me , Sub model will come only with SHIELD compatible and no planing to make other red dot plates. If you are checking CANIK Offical Turkish web page you may understand why is that so. Canik had agreement with SHIELD and they are sale the SHIELD in Canik web page. So what SHIELD offered i think , You put only my Re dot plate and i will give you speacil price. Deal ? Deal!!.

Also for Mag well , if they will all best items in this pistol , how they could sale it for next model. We dont have in Turkish model also Magwell

This is marketing , and i dont think there is other Pistol manufacturing company give all our desires in single pistol model with very competitive price.

I am sure in few mounths USA After market will start to produce red dot plates.

For moment i am really want to hear shooting comments. Cause first time , Canik change the recoil spring. It is coming with new recoil reduce spring system.

I have a feeling that a lot of buyers will be in for a surprise when they can only use Shield sights.

I'm waiting on clarification since this information came from a very trustworthy person. It's been put out on social media that the Sig Romeo Zero fits the same footprint as the SHIELD and will work on the Elite Sub.

The information was put out on social media during the release announcement a couple days ago. I asked for clarification and was given a definitive "yes". But, I'm trying to get more clarification just to be sure. I always thought only the SHIELD would fit too, which is why I was surprised and excited to hear the Sig would work as well. Here's the announcement that has not been disputed.

Edit: I just heard back from the source of this announcement, and his information came directly from Century Arms/Canik USA. So for now, I'm going to assume it's correct and the Sig Romeo Zero will work with the Sub Elite.

Optic cut may be different on the U.S. version. This is a picture taken from our FB page, where someone compared the U.S. version to the Turkish version. You can see on the slide the optic cuts look different on the U.S. version on the right. Also notice the U.S. version says Canik on the grip, instead of the traditional logo Canik uses. Maybe it's an illusion, but it does look a little different to me.

For what it's worth... here is the picture posted of the box it comes in:

Image

I'm not familiar at all with all the different sight options on pistols so I'm not sure if that helps. It does look like there is at least one mounting option included, but the thing at the bottom I'm assuming is a flat base for the magazine...

I will wait for the fever to drop, and prices likely as well...also, anybody worried about the usual bugs with any new model launch?

I thought I was the only one, though I'm not terribly concerned. It doesn't seem to be a complete redesign and we know the original works (ignoring the checkered history of compact 1911s).

Not really. It appears to be a shorter Elite, but basically the same design. I need to find out if it uses a lot of the same internals. I'm betting it does, but want to know for sure. But as for bugs and Canik, it's usually just the stiff RSA. I'll be getting one as soon as I can afford it.

I still need to hook up with the owner of the LGS to work out a deal on a Ruger Carbine 9mm. Our schedules keep missing. I may have him look at the sub Elite pricing for me...I hope the gods of impulse are asleep that day...

Within the last couple hours, a rep from Century Arms posted in our FB group the Romeo zero and JPoint will fit the sub compact. He posted a pic with the JPoint installed. Said there are several more to come that will fit.

(*) Buy a couple of boxes of 124 gr. WWB NATO to break in the stiff RSA. Cheap, and shoots great in the Canik! (*)

Held one, finally, today while at one of my two LGS's. Felt great in my hands. Sights were nice, trigger nice - all the same winning elements of my Elite-S, but smaller.
$379 as well. So hard to walk out without it :(
