Removed my RMR

Post by Tejas Products » Wed Feb 20, 2019 11:59 am

So, I decided to remove my red dot from my SFX and go to the range.... NOPE.... Putting it back on..... If I were outdoors maybe different, but I find that fiber optic sights on an indoor range just don't work for me... Plus. To be honest If my SFX didn't have a red dot, I would get new sights... I didn't care for them at all. I also took my new Ruger Mark 4 Hunter with me and it comes standard fiber optic sights as well... I could hardly see it... I think I will mount a red dot on it as well.. I'm not a big fan of the Warrant tactical sights anyway... Give me the old 3 dot sights and I'm happy....

Also ran 100 rounds of 115g mag tech ammo thorough the SFX... Looks like she is defiantly broken in... No problems at all.....

I’m leaning with you on the SFx. There is a bag hanging on the wall at my LGS. I think I saw black. If not I’ll run none on the front. I have black from tru-glow but they appear to be way big.

After shooting a couple of hundred rounds through my EC I removed the fiber optic sights and replaced them with the Night Fision ones. I haven’t shot it yet but those sure do pop out!

I put the TFX Pro Tritium/Fiber-Optic Day/Night Sights on my full size M&P that I shoot production with, PERFECT! Reminds me of pulling into port at night and seeing the lights of the bars in the port! I am a sailor after all.

I also took the Viper off the my SFx and hated front & rear the stock sights. I just bought a Warren Canik, TP9 Series, Tritium Front Sight for M&P and waiting for it to arrive to install it. Once I check it out then I'll check out maybe replacing the rear Warren sight.

Me too. I've been putting the Night Fision sights on all my guns. just works better for me than fiber optics. Now if I slow down and precision shoot, then they are very accurate for me. But I usually don't shoot like that so the Night Fision sights work very well for me.

I’m pretty happy with my XS Big Dot sights I put on my Elite. VERY quick acquisition. Great for self defense, and for accurate shooting up to 10 yds. Further out and the Big Dot gets a little big (depending on target size). I’m debating to go with the smaller (standard) dot for my new Elite Combat I plan to use for competition. Still deciding. Anyone here running XS Sights in competition?

Is the Night Fision front sight the same height as the stock sight? I would like to keep the adjustable sight on the rear.

i believe it is but you can message them to be sure, they're usually pretty quick to reply. They've been easy to deal with I've got them on a few different guns now
