@Ghostwolf308 can you look for a plug in for Tapatalk?

Be mindful. I got tap talk attached to a forum I run for laser engraving. More trouble than it’s worth.

I use it for keeping tabs on Brian Enos, 1911, and M&P forums. It’s a very handy one stop shop for my browsing needs.

Looking at the various reviews and comments, I personally wouldn't use it.

I'll had my stuff hacked and it's not fun recovering. Took me a long time to get it straightened out with the big 3 credit report authorities.

But then again, who is this woman who has been living with me for 40+ years? Is she colluding with somebody? :d

Interesting, I’m curious as to what/how there was a hack (not saying anyone/you were negligent). I’ve used it for some time and never given out anything that would lead to my personal information or any sort of financial data being compromised.

I can look into it more but from what I have read there are alot of problems with the app. They tried to get approved by PHPBB and failed and have not tried again. There have been reports of it giving full control of the forum to everyone along with a host of other issues.

It it exposes the forum/membership to issues, probably just best to drop the idea.

From everthything i have read tapatalk is far more trouble than it is Beneficial. Phpbb did turn them down because they are not a secure paltform.

I have not had any trouble with Tapatalk and have been using it for more than 10 years. I don't run a forum though so YMMV.

As a forum admin I DO NOT RECOMMEND

My board was forced over to tap talk about a year back... Double the work, double the troubles.....

I used it a few years back- before most of the forums changed their format.....after that I had nothing but trouble with Tapatalk. I dropped it.

I am also a no vote on Tapatalk. Just don't like it and there is really no need with the skins that most forum software have for mobile users. It also adds it own ads unless you pay them a fee.

Also the board owner can not control the ads that Tapatalk shows, so if they get an ad that is malware you can't stop it from being shown to your users.

Tapatalk's own forums were hacked

Spam ads complaint

Adding another layer between the users and the board just adds another place where security can be compromised. In the case of Tapatalk the board owner has no control over their security measures.
