Thanks Everyone - Three Years and Growing

Post by Janik » Sun Dec 29, 2019 1:07 pm

Thanks everyone for your contributions and being a part of the Canik Fanatik Forum. It's been a good three years, and we continue to grow. The FB group is almost to 13,000 members, and the forum continues to grow every day. We've hit some bumps in the road, such as having to launch a whole new forum last year, but it worked out. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks to everyone who is part of the Canik Fanatik community. And thanks to the moderators who help keep the group going. If it wasn't for all the knowledge of the members, this forum wouldn't be what it is. And, I like the fact that on the forum we tend to have a more mature audience than the trolls we see on FB. Seem to be a lot more civil discussions on a traditional forum such as this, than on social media.

Anyway, as you all know, Canik Fanatik is just a hobby for us. We are not part of some corporation like other forums, and everyone should feel they have a stake in it's success. We are always open to ideas and suggestions. If there's something you would like us to add or offer on the forum, let us know. If it's feasible, we can make it happen. Thanks again everyone, and have a happy 2020.

I've tried to be on my best behavior most of the time; thanks for noticing.

Wishing all a great 2020, and let's continue to enjoy our common interest and the freedoms that many do not have. **==

This is definitely the best forum I've been on! Non of the typical social media BS you'll see on FB and others. Just lots of great information shared and fun stuff!

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!!!

Thank you.

As an anti-FB person, i really appreciate the effort you folks put out to run this forum. As above, I have seen other forums degrade to drivel but that doesn't appear to have a chance of happening here.

Please keep up the great work.

Happy New Year everyone and thanks for this forum. It amazes me that such a quality firearm can exist and yet so few people know of it. Nothing is perfect but Canik is the closest example I've ever seen.

Echo what other above say
Great forum and thank you
I don’t do social media, so I am very appreciative this does not require it!

I joined this Forum recently because I was interested in purchasing my first Canik pistol. I found out everything I needed to know and was impressed to see that members act like responsible adults, unlike other Firearms Forums.
Great job! Thanks

I belong to four forums.. This is the only one that I check at least twice a day. The others I may go as long as two weeks before looking. All my friends that have bought Caniks, I tell them "You Must Join The Forum". And at least one other Jeffersonian has. I really enjoy it here.

I really appreciate this forum and all the Canik Fanatiks here. We all have fun, and deter negativity. Who needs that when we have such a positive focal point, the pistol itself. I have learned so much from all of you. Ironically, many of the questions that folks have here, are questions I have myself. How is that for a like-minded website!? I compete with my Caniks. Other match mates are always asking "what is that, that you are shooting?". I love that my $300 gun can keep up and, sometimes outshoot their $1000+ guns. Not saying I am a top dog, cuz I'm not. But I know I have the right tools to get better. And it is predominantly info I get from here at our forum. Janik, thanks for providing a comfortable learning environment, and positive influence on conversation. Happy New Year to all!

Facebook trolls? Don’t get me started... #-O

How much things have changed didn’t really hit me until I read over the original TP9 upgrades thread trying to figure out what needed to be added or updated. It occurred to me pretty quickly that basically everything in it needs to be updated...wow.
It wasn’t that long ago we were trying to figure out what parts from what other pistols could be slapped into a Canik to do this or that because the aftermarket was just about nonexistent. Now, there are dozens of parts available for them and Nils Jonasson is shooting a Canik in USPSA...
