That’s a real let down given that you’re touting this on a traditional web forum. Nice as a SAR may be it’s not worth signing up for the other Social Media’s for some of us. Poorly thought out contest for many of the members of this site.

I understand why companies do this to get publicity and free advertising but I agree with others. Not having a way to participate without social media alienates a large portion of the customer base. I even have an Instagram account but I don't use it for tagging or promoting or jumping through hoops to enter contests.

I would like to hear more about the trigger. I had to take my polymer one off. I had issues with it sticking instead of resetting and the safety dingus stuck it too far and actually started to hurt my finger.

Do you have the OEM trigger & springs or aftermarket? I had this problem with aftermarket.

I found two things to correct it. One, the Trigger Return Spring was not looped around the lower section properly, it was wrapped around the side. Second, a little light sanding of the trigger hold on the frame and it now resets properly every time.

Off topic but I though it might help.

Thanks. It was the Arminius trigger from GP. I figured I could probably smooth it out but just put the OEM trigger back in. I imagine I could file down the safety dingus too so it didn't protrude and hurt when firing. If I mess with it again I'll check out the spring as well.

The number of people being addressed has nothing to do with the number of hoops you need to jump through in order to compete. You are advertising this give away to this site and it’s members but require one to be members multiple other places to play. It’s just a crumby way to run a give away. If you’re getting press by posting on this site that should be sufficient in order for a member to participate. This contest could have been set up as an either/or contest and not a this, plus this, plus this. It might be the way things work these days but it’s still poorly thought out way to acquire potential loyal customers. This just doesn’t leave a good feeling, it comes across as petty. In the end isn’t this what it’s really all about, getting members of this site interested in your products? The old saying of knowing one’s audience doesn’t seem to be applicable here. My father would have simply said “sell it somewhere else”. Oh wait, apparently that’s exactly what’s happening in this give away.

OK everybody - points made and opinions shared. GP has been a good supporter and active on the site. Next item for discussion: Nancy Pelosi...real or silicone? (just kidding, don't answer, just trying to redirect attention elsewhere).
