I am new here, grew up occasionally plinking cans with my father using his Harrigan-Richardson 22 target pistol. Just recently my son and I bought Canik TP9 SFX's, and I bought a TP9 SC Elite as a concealed carry weapon. I fired about 90 rounds through the SFX at the range, haven't tested the Elite yet.
New to semi-auto's so I took firearm fundamentals class and heading into CCW class this weekend. This looks like a great and very informative forum.

Welcome to the club shovelmike....you will like the SC. I have the Elite and it is a fine shooter, haven't seen the SC yet.

Welcome from Jefferson. I have both pistols. Both are fantastic to shoot. But, like I tell everyone, very addicting.

"Shovel" as in shovelhead? Asking for a friend......Yes indeed, 73 Shovelhead powered Superglide. I am the second owner, bought it in 87. Strictly a kick start bike, electric was a dealer installed option that year.

No kickers for me! Replacement knees don't like that kind of stuff. I'm a '90 Softail, '98 Dyna Wideglide, '01 & '14 ElectraGlide kind of guy.

I am still getting around on my original knees so far, though the older I get the more often I opt for one of my electric start bikes 85 Ironhead Sportster or 02 Ultra Classic.
I do love the simplicity of the shovel though.
