New Canik Owner from Allen, TX

Post by Hankster » Wed Jul 29, 2020 9:23 pm

Hello, new Canik TP9SF Elite owner here. I have never heard of Canik before purchasing this gun. I was at Academy Sports & Outdoors looking for ammo and saw this handsome looking gun in Patriot green. I asked the Salesperson to let me hold it in my hand and fell in love with it. I took it to the range for the first time last Friday and fired 100 rounds of CCI blazer and Remington 115 grain. I did experience couple jams, but enjoyed it so far. Can't wait to take it to the range again this weekend and break it in. Looking for way to add red dot on the TP9SF Elite without having to mill the slide. Please let me know if anyone has done the same. Thank you all. Excited to be a member of Fantatik group.

janik posted something about a mount on the DA - check that post out, not sure if you could parlay gimmick on the Elite? I'd have to go back and read it myself.

Welcome to the forum. I've used dovetail adapters to add red dots to some of my Caniks that aren't cut for it. I wanted the smallest possible, so I bought an adapter for the Glock G43 from The Glock Store. You can use any red dot that has a SHIELD RMSc footprint. Here's a link to my thread regarding it. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3211&p=32550#p32550
