New member Minnesota.

Post by Whitecastle123 » Wed Jun 26, 2019 10:13 am

Just ordered some T-shirt’s for wife and I from Lima Charlie and stumbled upon this forum so I joined up. I bought my wife a TP9sfl for Christmas and she absolutely loves this gun but carries a CZ82 for size. After I shot it I found a new SA FDE for sale at $340.00 and couldn’t pass it up. Great shooter and never a jam.
We talked to staff at the range we are members at and some are ex-cops or total gun nuts all agree the Caniks are awesome guns for the money.

Welcome to the club Whitecastle123......yep I love the caniks....they are really fun guns to shoot....and carry.
I have several of the Lima Charlie shirts.....I wear one just about every day.

Since your wife likes the CZ 82?.....take a look at the Bersa Thunder. Its my favorite carry pistola. Looks similar to the 82 except it is 8-12 oz lighter (depending on model). Its my most carried gun. They come is single and double stack 8-15 rounds. Very good trigger out of the box.

My wife already has a Bersa 380 and the CZ’s are heavy for a small gun. Last time we took it to the range the recoil just slammed her thumb joint like it did mine the last time I shot it. It hurts. Fine carry gun but not for us at the range. She can shoot my Ruger 1911 and Blackhawk 357 no problem, thinks they’re wimpy. At 5’4” and 120 pounds she can handle almost anything but the Bersa.
I think she’s looking for a short barrel 45acp for carry now.

Farmington. I live west of the city in Minnetonka. Everyone probably remembers Tonka Toys and owned a few and destroyed a few. That’s going way back.

My brother lives out near Minnetonka, I make it out there every once in a while. Let me know if you ever want to have a range day or something. I work with The Fallen Outdoors charity group, getting vets outside doing the hunting and fishing things. There’s a Facebook page for Midwest region, Mn page is coming soon.

C wordlover.
Kudos for volunteering your time with the vets. Range day would be fun unless I shoot like I did last Monday with my wife and her cousin. Thought about selling all my guns and then I snapped out of it, after Ruth slapped me. I don’t know if you have a range nearby but a new indoor range opened up in Eagan last February. Really nice place and Ruth and I have their first range opened three years ago nearby in Chanhassen.

I have been told about the Eagan range, haven’t been though. I normally go to a friends place, but the modern outdoorsman in Burnsville has a decent set up that I use from time to time. Feel free to reach out anytime
