Howdy from Texas

Post by The_cflip » Tue Jan 15, 2019 9:42 am

Just got my hands on a SFx and am loving it. Still working to break in the RSA but the gun feels great and I'm hoping this will be a great start to my handgun collection.
Also down here in Texas our gun laws are a little bit laid back so I have my own personal range on the ranch, so I've already run about 500 rounds through it.

Welcome! I’m jealous of your range. Unfortunately my wife won’t move back out into the country

Another here, from East Texas... Also loving my SFx! As repeated a lot around here...
Get a couple of the 150 Rd WWB 124 gr. NATO stuff from Wal Mart for the break in.
Cheap, and shoots great in my SFx...

(*) Buy a couple of boxes of 124 gr. WWB NATO to break in the stiff RSA. Cheap, and shoots great in the Canik! (*)

Welcome to the forum. Since you have 500 rounds through it already, did you experience any of the usual issues regarding the stiff RSA?

Mine either. I wish we could move to the country and have my own personal range.

I have noticed my RSA having a few FTEs on some 115gr ammo. I've also already run about 250 147gr boxes and I'm still got more breaking in to do.
