Hello from Colorado!!

Post by JP357 » Tue Dec 04, 2018 2:45 pm

Hi Folks,
Just registered. I'm from Colorado and I am looking forward to learning all I can about the Canik pistols. I have other brands and I am usually pretty brand loyal, but after all of the reviews I just had to pull the trigger ;-) on a Canik. I ordered a new SF Elite. Should be here sometime this week. Merry Christmas to me. Looking forward to learning from all of you Canik Fanatiks. Have a good one.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the Elite. In my experience, it's the most accurate firearm I've ever owned. Just one piece of advice, run a couple boxes of NATO or something comparable through it first. The RSA's in Caniks are known to be stiff, but a couple boxes of good ammo will loosen it up. I've also used Speer Lawman with good results.

Thanks Janik. That's good advice. I'll have to try that.

Howdy and Welcome to the Canik forum!!!
I second the idea of running a couple of boxes of NATO spec ammo. I had to do it and then mine, SF Elite, would eat every and anything.

Welcome JP357.

Co is a great place. Lived in Denver and Co Springs for a week each about 40 years ago. Been to Denver area for a week for work the last two years. Not sure what it is with me only spending a week there.

Don't think I could deal with the monster hail storms.

Stay safe.

Welcome to the forum. I can shoot bullseyes with my Elite at 1200 yards, left handed and using a mirror with my back toward the target.

Hahahaha! You guys are too much. I don't know if I'll be able to keep up with you on the 1200 foot range. Heck, I can't even see that far. No need for the blind fold or the mirror. Thanks for the welcome. Sounds like a good group of Yahoos on here.
