This probably deserves a new thread but I did want to at least acknowledge the political tension between the US and Turkey as it is in all of the papers (and not to reflect on our Turkish members here, Lord knows that we don't want to be held responsible for every idiotic thing our US leaders do).

But the basic problem is that the new S400 anti-aircraft system is different than any previous Russian system. Besides the usual evolutionary upgrades to tracking distances and number of targets tracked and anti-jamming features, it is networked and is able to analyze different aircraft signatures far more effectively than before. Since Turkey flies US F16 fighters, they will be constantly tracked (although obviously not targeted) by S400 systems and will produce a trove of F16 data for Russia to analyze. This also explains why Trump has refused to send the very advanced F35 to Turkey now, so that Russia doesn't get access to massive amounts of F35 tracking data as well.

We shall see how this plays out. Any thoughts from our Turkish friends would be appreciated, but we will understand if you refrain.

I agree, this has no reflection on our Turkish friends here. We as individuals have no control over our governments' concerns between countries. What I do know, as in Ukraine and Crimea, sanctions were slapped on associated countries reflecting loss of import capabilities, Century Arms in particular. I remember anything that was in transit from those countries doubled in price, and then couldn't get these products for some time. My fear is that this will affect the fact that we as Canik Fanatiks, pride the fact that we get an awesome weapon at an unbelievable price. This too could potentially happen. We'll have to wait and see. I also agree, ncjw, that this could go to another thread, but at this time, maybe a good time to lay low here, not to take away from our new member, thisisymlz, sorry for stealing your thunder, and definitely do not want to offend you or any of our Turkish friends here. Welcome to the site and enjoy that Elite-s.

Dear Guys , in this case we have approach as bussiness not a political. Let me give you example. You can bann USA products or Russian Military products in market due to Political reasons, But there is no any goverment bann the Coca Cola. Even not Iran or North Korea. Coca cola not connecting with any country any more. This is earth brand name. Argentina drinking Coke , more than USA. Trump may ambargo the Argentina by Coke export? No way. For every International Bussines Company best choice is , stay as apolitical side as possible. This is what have to do by Canik and Century Arms also.

Regarding to S400 issue or F35 issue. No one ask to Tax owners if Turkey need it buy F35 from USA or S400 From Russia. This is my money but no one asking me how to use it. This decisions made by only one person , so we have to blame only one person and not blame the all Turkish Civilians or memebers here . Also remmeber , %99.9 Political person wants stay in chair as soon as possible. So they need it some success story to collect the points. Dont get affected your self , from this story. If the S400 may tracking the Stealth Options of F35. So USA force to Turkey to buy F35 without Stealth options. They will trackable in any case like F16 and Russians never steal the info from F35 air crafts and Turkey will owner of best expensive Aircraft in world without Stealth option. problem will solve. :)

Thank you Zeda for your input, that I was hoping for. I am a strong proponent for discussion and outlook outside the US, thank you friend. I have a broader outlook outside all the media, and quite frankly the USA propaganda. It's a reality we all have to deal with. Here, in our forum, we are all brothers and sisters no matter what!! I appreciate all that you can give to us, as somewhat ignorants, because quite frankly, until you reach out to the people that actually have the facts, we will always be ignorant, and flustered by opinion. So thank you my friend!
