"Why I Stopped Carrying a Glock", now carrys a Canik

Post by Janik » Sun Jul 12, 2020 8:34 pm

A video on YT of a guy who transitioned from Glock to Canik. Nothing wrong with Glocks, but I liked listening to his reasons for the switch. I prefer Caniks over Glocks as well, but that's just a personal preference.

I just once shoot with Glock and done. Never ever touch that gun again. Looks nice , very slim but not good for shooting. I know Fire arm market still have big preconception for Canik brand name. But to be honest Canik show the market , good polymer pistol doesnt need it expensive. This preconception breaking slowly. This video just show us.

I shot the glocks, just didn't like the way it felt. Love these canik pistols

Nooo....he talks too much. :?
I tried to watch the video- and he kept repeatedly getting off the subject. I finally stopped watching at just over 5 min. Whew!
I never carried a Glock, never really liked them. Actually it was the Canik that opened me up to striker fired guns.

... And a million Glock fanbois throw their beer at the monitor and fall asleep sobbing into their pillows.

(*) Buy a couple of boxes of 124 gr. WWB NATO to break in the stiff RSA. Cheap, and shoots great in the Canik! (*)

I never cared for the way Glocks feel. The angle of the board, I mean grip doesn't feel right. They can't change it or it wouldn't be a Glock.

I have carried a Glock in the past, for many years a G23 was a constant companion. Now I have several Glocks, and one Canik. I freely admit that I really like my Canik (TP9SFx set up for USPSA Carry Optics), but a Glock is in the bedside stand. That may change one day....

I have carried a Glock, both a a 26 and a 27. Owned 2 27s. I have also owned a couple of 22s, a 34 and a couple 35s. They are great guns with lots of after market support. But now I own an SFX and had an elite and my first Canik was TP9SA. No more Glocks! Glock triggers were hard for me to learn. Not so Caniks.

My carry gun is a Springfield Xds 9mm. I like a single stack carry for lightness. My last carry was the TP9SF Elite. Just a little bigger than I wanted to carry.

Go Canik!
