New TP9SFx

Post by Bigmaico » Sun Oct 20, 2019 4:48 pm

This is my first Canik!

But it won't be my last that's for sure!

I had never heard of Canik until I started working for a new shooting range.

We have a few of the models, but not all. I kept showing customers the SFx & thought to myself this is a really nice feeling gun.

So on our grand opening I bought it. took it in to the range & put 50 rounds down range.

It really impressed me & I showed the other SFx we had in stock to a customer & he took it home.

I think the trigger & how fast the trigger reset is sold him on it.

Now a week later, I just put 100 more thru it to make a total of 300 so far.

Nice shooting. SFx is definitely one of the best bangs for your buck out there. Are you shooting the irons or with a red dot?

Janik,

Stock irons!

I’ve only had the TP9SFx a week!

Gotta save up for an Optic, maybe a Christmas present.

Keep an eye on PSA. They have been running sales on the Holosun 507c and the Vortex Venom

Nice having something to look forward to isn’t it? My second one will be here on Thursday. Bought one for my son 10 days ago, like it so well I ordered one for myself. Lotta gun for the money with the TP9SFX package.

I'm sure it will Shoot just as well as mine!

The darn gun shoots better then I do, I let a younger friend with good eyes take a few shoots!

His group was half the size of mine!

Grab a few boxes of Siller & Bellot 124Gr Rn & have fun !

I have this gun and it is surprisingly accurate everytime I shoot it. It has been an excellent purchase. Based on some of the reviews that I have read, the recoil spring and the firing pin spring should be changed to eliminate broken firing pins. The gun would do well with a 6.5 Glock firing pin spring and a stainless steel Glock recoil conversion kit Gen4 G17, 22 w/13 lb. spring. This will result in reduced felt recoil, lesser muzzel jump. In addition, I put a FreedomSmith trigger in the gun. Now it is as close to my 1911 as possible without the weight. This gun is a WINNER!!!

The firing pin breaking issue was resolved a while back. It's been well documented in several threads.

Welcome aboard the forum.
