Memorial Day, any big plans?

Post by Janik » Tue May 21, 2019 8:55 pm

With Memorial Day coming up, does anyone have any big plans? I wish I had something fun to do, but the wife decided this is the weekend we are going to move. So, looks like I'll be working all weekend. Oh well, it'll be a nice change. Anyway, you guys/girls have anything fun planned?

Wife, her father, and myself going to the range on Sunday. They are running some discounts for this weekend on the lanes.
Monday, we will have her parents, our daughter, her husband (Air Cav/2 tours middle east), and grandson over for a big grill fest.
I'm sure you can relate here - I just hope we have weather more realistic of late spring vs. end of winter! This one day of 60's or 70's sandwiched by multiple days in the 50's is not amusing me.

Good luck with you move!

Buying a new wood Pellet Smoker and patio set on Friday and getting the tv setup outside. Going to spend the weekend smoking a brisket while lounging around by the pool

Beware of Dragons. For you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

Weird , I had no plans and suddenly Tejas invited me over for smoked brisket and to check out his new outdoor TV lounge area. Talk about luck. 😃.
On a serious note I don’t have much planned. I haven’t shot in over a week since I was visiting my grandson so shooting and maybe get those 124 g bullet comparison and Tristar T-100 reviews up.

My brother has a "Green Egg" and loves it!!!
I bought a knockoff from Costco made by "Pit Boss". It's an Extra Large version of the Egg and less than half the cost. Quality is great. One of my favorite things to cook on it are pizzas!!!

Being a Indiana boy I’ll watch the race and barbecue. Weekends get pretty hectic along the Colorado River so we lay low for the most part and let the out of town idiots run a muck.

Oh! I forgot. Have five transfers to pickup. ;-)

High of 94 and so much humidity you you can pour powered ice tea into the air and it will clump before it hits the ground. No, really.

You're joining a Mexican cartel for memorial day? :) Looks awesome I'd wouldn't mind adding a .38 super to the collection.

Yesterday there were 78 available from distributors in the US.

Better hurry, prices are climbing.
