Patriots heading to the Superbowl, again

Post by Janik » Mon Jan 21, 2019 10:13 am

I used to be a pretty big Patriots fan. Over the last couple years, my interest in watching NFL games has deteriorated, and I typically only watch college football now. When it comes to championship games though, I usually tune it. I'm still a supporter of the Patriots, but I was kinda rooting for the Chiefs last night. Oh well, this is probably Brady's last season, or next to last season. It was a really good game though, and I thought the Chiefs had it. One of the most exciting games I have watched in a long time.

A couple of months after the Super Bowl it will be revealed that Belichick came up with a very creative new way to cheat. Lose a couple draft places and all will be forgiven by Goodell.

The guy should be out of football for repeatedly cheating.

And the Saints had the worst stolen game since the Jesse James no catch. Pathetic ref job. They are ruining the game.

It was rigged! The Packers should have won!

BTW...anybody see the Badgers knock off the undefeated Wolverines on Saturday? Jump on the bandwagon...there is plenty of room.

I did get a ride home from the bar, and Sunday morning was a bit slow in activity.

Wait, UW plays something besides playing (ok, kinda sorta playing) football?...

OK, now it's on! OK, the Packers and Badgers sucked at football this year, but Bucky is rebuilding and will do some damage in March Madness or my name isn't Badgerboy.

Same here! Since the whole Kaepernick fiasco, my NFL viewing has been pretty limited. Did watch both games Sunday and have to admit there were the best I've watched in a while, despite a few blown calls! Pats should win, I don't see the Rams matching them offensively. Brady has no choice but to play at least one more season, there is no replacement in place!!!

No kidding. Once Brady is gone, I think the Patriots will fade into obscurity for a long time. If they win the Super Bowl, I hope Brady retires. I'd personally rather go out on a high note. But after all the kneeling B.S., I try not to support the NFL organization. But it's hard not to watch when the Pats are playing in a championship game. I hope the Super Bowl is a great game that keeps people on the edge of their seats.

This morning I read that the Rams DB INTENTIONALLY hit the Saints receiver into the stands as he saw it as a walk in TD if he didn't considering how open he was and he was shocked that there wasn't a flag.

I'll watch an occasional game but, like Janik, the kneeling BS was the final straw. When people ask me who my team is, I proudly tell them that I don't have one and then tell them how insulting the whole thing is and that my son is in Kuwait right now working in uniform so that those rich players have the freedom to kneel. So far no one has a smart reply after hearing that. I'll hush now.

Thank you for allowing your child to serve and supporting them.

No need to hush, speaking here is encouraged.

Spot on folks. I haven't watched the NFL for a couple years other than a quarter here and there depending upon where I find myself at the time. I still support the Packers, but haven't watched a full game in 3 years. Memo to the players: I could give a $#!^ about your politics...you are overpaid entertainers. Shut up and play. Same memo to Hollywood.
