Vertical ice now, changing to snow soon. Looking at 2-4" tonight. Yet another reason to stay comfy at home.

Happy 2019 all. Boy, am I getting old.

Today is amateur night, us professional drunks stay at home. Besides, midnight is way past my bedtime.

I only drink on days that begin with a "T"; Tuesday, Thursday, today & tomorrow.

Happy New Year all! 🥃🍻🍺

Yep, so much for the 4" max prediction...we passed 4" an hour ago and it is still coming down heavy. Oh well, I get to fire up the snowblowing beast tomorrow. 8 horses of snow blasting fun to start 2019.

Probably not the best time to point out that I'm suffering through it being 72 and breezy. The amateur fireworks are persistent enough that the 3 year old is already whining and I haven't recognized anyone on Dick Clark's Ryan Seacrest show.

Lgaam - I totally understand about the Dick Clark Show. I said a lot of "Who the hell is that?????"

Happy New Year to everyone as well!!!
Went out with some friends for dinner, came home and watched "Equalizer 2" and then watched the ball drop.

Oh yea...and a few adult beverages thrown in for good measure!

The 30 horse "Orange Toy" was one of the best purchases I've made!!!
My wife agrees, as she likes driving it.

Now that is a machine for when TSHTF...like a Noreaster in Mass. My wife was raised in Northboro and talks about the blizzard of '77 or '78. Snowdrifts to the rooftops.

YUP...blizzard of 78 was a monster! If I recall we had close to 40" of snow in our area. Drifts were HUGE!!! You couldn't see the fronts of peoples homes. I had a red 72 Toyota Celica and the snow was almost to the roof. Roads were only open to emergency vehicles, and people who worked in healthcare. Everything was shutdown for over a week. Major highways were littered with abandoned cars, what a mess. Lots of issues with direct vent heating systems having exhaust vents blocked. It was the worst storm of my lifetime and a deadly one at that.
