Remans from Ammunitiondepot.com

Post by Retiredtrooper » Wed Apr 24, 2019 9:42 pm

I picked up a case of these off their website: https://www.ammunitiondepot.com/us-cart ... it_type=21 , and got to try them out this morning. Fired about 150 rounds out of both my SFXs and my Elite. They fed great, they all went BAM when they were supposed to, and they were accurate. I also put 35 rounds of it through my CZ Scorpion with the same results. These aren't powderpuff loads, either. Don't have a chrono, so just by feel I'd put the recoil in the same class as S&B, Fiocchi, and Speer Lawman. When I shot it in the CZ, I got a solid THUMP on my shoulder. I just bought these to try out, but when my ammo supply runs low I'm going to buy more of these for sure. Ammunition Depot has a sale going on right now at $149/1000 with 9.95 flat rate shipping. The bullets are coated, not fmj. Just thought I'd pass this along for those interested.

Sorry for double post....I tried to edit an error, but wound up with 2 posts- can't figure out how to delete one. Perhaps one of you mods can delete one?

I've shot thousands of rounds from Freedom Munitions without a single glitch, and I have a ton of it left which I'll continue to use until its gone. I've heard of others having problems with it, but it's never happened to me. I no longer buy from them due to their cost. I can buy brand new Federal 147 American Eagle for almost $40 a case less than Freedom charges for their remans and get free shipping to boot. I was wondering if you contacted them about what happened and what their response was. Accidents do happen even with factory new.

I'd never buy freedom again, mine weren't as bad as higgy's but I had some of their FMJ and HP reman's in both 9mm and .380 and they were underloaded and often stovepipe or not even eject out of a few different guns.

Mine are all 147gr, with a few 115gr laying around. They work fine in my Elite, but I had to tinker with the RSA in both my SFX guns to get them to run. One thing is, they're very accurate in all my guns.

I ordered a case on Tues...I have run remans before with no problem, so assumed I was OK...I will report my luck after I run a few hundred.

What kind of headstamps do they have? I've got one range down here that will check if you bring in bulk or loose ammo.

All 1000 cases of mine are nickle plated brass. Haven't checked the headstamp. The Freedom ammo I have can be just about anything.

Both the Freedom 115 and 147 loads were remans. Their data is listed. Same goes for the ammunition from Ammunition Depot, except there wasn't any data listed for that ammo on their website.
