I am retiring very soon. We are moving off grid and to a location that has a lot of cougars and yotes. I have a young small Aussie Mini and I don't want him to became a snack. So when I let him out at night I will be needing a flashlight for my TP9SA and my TP9 Elite Sub Compact. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated. I have never had one or even used one.

I use Olight PL Mini and PL Mini 2 on most of my Caniks. No complaints. There's a lot of options out there, as I'm sure you will get a variety of responses. But these are the ones I use, and have been very happy with them. I like that they are rechargeable and it uses a magnet charger.

Yep, Olights are great. Another thought would be a nice headlamp. Olight recently came out with one that is blinding and will light up the night. I suggest this because you don't want to be pointing a gun all around just to be able to see.

+1.

colonel00 , is spot on; Pointing a firearm at things that go bump in the night is not always the best idea. I use the Olight's in the house and a handheld for the outside stuff.

Warrior pro or Javelot from Olight for handhelds, if weapon mounted(warrior and javelot can be rifle mounted) I'd want something brighter then the mini for outdoor use, PL2 Pro, regular valkerie or TLR HL.

I use the rechargeable O-lights on hand guns.

We have the Olight Mini2 on my wife's SC, and the Mini on my DA, which would be about the same as your SA. The rail on some of the larger frame Caniks may be "iffy" for standard mounted lights, and either the notches and grooves may need some filing, or the mounting plate on the light may need to be filed for a proper fit. See the posts here on this subject.

Another vote for the Olight Mini 2. I just got one and it fits great on my TP9SF Elite.

I can recommend O-Light or O-Light but if you want something diffrent , you should also check for O-Light . :)

Whichever light you decide to get, you may want larger caliber than 9mm. :-BD
