Palmetto State Armory PS9 Dagger at Shot Show

Post by Janik » Fri Jan 24, 2020 10:30 pm

Sooo, what do you all think about the PS9 Dagger announced at Shot Show? For the $300 price tag, I may give it a try if reviews are favorable. I like the fact that it takes Glock G19 mags, which are relatively cheap. The grip angle doesn't look as "Glockish" either. http://www.gunsholstersandgear.com/2020 ... 61ASXVebK4

I'm in. Hard to pass up at that price. I'll probably opt for the suppressor ready model with sights and a threaded barrel

Also, if it takes G19 mags then I have to assume that PSA is making mags that will work with Glocks and probably at a good price point.

"Another version the company is working on is a G17 sized slide/barrel on the PS9 frame." When they start showing this version I'll start looking.

Can't beat the price and you don't have to worry about after market parts; they are everywhere.

It will be interesting because modifying them will be dirt cheap. Most custom glocks cost to much and by that point are not even glocks anymore.

As PSA ramps up and these become more available, and assuming that they are very reliable and reasonably accurate, it will put a lot of pressure on Canik.

Canik's niche is a relatively cheap, high quality, reliable, accurate platform. However, if a well known brand brings out the same platform with Glock compatible mags and parts, it will take a significant share away from Canik on the low end. I can't see Canik responding any way but by lower their prices. For us who are already on the Canik mag platform, it will only get better.

Ain't capitalism great?!!

Love my Glocks and P80’s. That said, I think I’d buy one of these just because.

The more I learn about the gun, I'm definitely on board. I'll add one to my collection once the hype dies down after it's release.
