I have a couple favorite .45s. My most practical and most favorite is my Sig P220. Just a very natural shooting pistol for me. First time I shot one, which belonged to a friend, it seemed like I couldn’t miss with it. The P220 went on my list of pistols to buy, when the time was right. About 15 years later, a deal came up that I could not refuse.

My favorite 1911 is one I built for Service Pistol matches. Bought a Fusion frame, barrel and slide combo and got to building.

I parkerized it and then applied Norrels Moly Resin, and baked it. It is a tack driving piece and I’m happy with how it came out.

About ready to pull the trigger on this one. Always on my “I wish” list. Been thinking on it for days and days. 2016-2017 manufacture. “Classic Carry Elite”

Excuse me while I wipe the drool off my face.

Ya think? :-D

I’ve sold 4 Kimber’s in the last few months and a SA. All 45 caliper.

Buying higher end Kimbers now. Just a few. This has always been a “wanted” item. Will see how it goes.

I have a RIA to pickup at the LGS as the 3 other 45’s I have are safe queens. RIA will be the range gun. Will post pictures this weekend.

Needed a range gun, nightstand, throw in car 45. I had nothing that I actually wanted to shoot. I know, I know. Some shoot everything, others don’t.

Range gun..

S&W Engraved addition. What I like best about this firearm, besides the looks, is the serial number. Safe Queen.

CZ 97B. Wonderful piece. Speaks for itself. Safe Queen.

Last one for a while is the Kimber Classic Carry Elite. Wanted one for years but never could afford it. Sealed a deal on one today with two magazines thru it. This will be willed. Maybe badgerboy. :-? Safe Queen.

Will wait on prices to drop on Kimber Rapide.

Thank you! It is one of my favorites. They still manufacture this model but in a two tone. (Not a fan) The back strap has the same engraving.

Having my morning Joe I decided to swap grips on the RIA. I like this better.

High end Kimber? Is that like a high end Hi-Point?

I wish Canik would build a .45 styled like the SFX. I'd be on that like white on rice.

People who talk smack on Kimbers are the people who can’t afford them. See it all the time at my LGS while their looking at a $300 pistol.
