STAR Super B. I've owned several pistols, paid less than $250 for this one and it is one of my favorite pistols! Accurate, great trigger, fun to shoot! Manufactured in 1972! The year my wife and I were married!

Image
I picked up 3 Star BM pistols over a period of a year...They are "medium sized" 1911 style pistols, smaller than your Super B. The LGS bought 4, and the guns kept calling to me each time I visited. Picked them up for $200 - $225 each. Manufactured in 1978, and who knows their history?...interesting to think about. I had to replace one or two parts in one, and then the third one decided to become a parts option for the other two after it locked up on me. Anyway, they are fun guns to shoot, solid and feel right. But with the problems, they are range toys...which isn't a bad thing.

I've owned several STAR BMs. Great pistols for the price! I broke the barrel ring, a common problem, with one. The pistol is a fun shooter with a great history!

Well, I guess I didn't 'own' it, but my M16-A2 was a great gun.
They should let every honorably discharged/retired service member take their weapon with them.

Gosh, I’ve had so many favorite guns over the years. Usually my favorite is whatever is new. But right now in my collection I’d say it’s either my Canik SFX or my Wilson Beretta Combat 92.

I haven't owned a lot of handguns (6 or so) (didn't know much about any handgun before 6 or 7 years ago), but of the ones I own, I have to say that my Canik TP9 SFX is my favorite! My Elite is a very close second, but probably the reason the SFX tops the Elite is because its a whiteout version and just looks cool. Functionally they are both great! Before I got my first Canik less than a year ago, my Ruger SR9c was my favorite, and it was my main carry gun (carry every day). Once I got my first Canik (the Elite) I don't do much shooting with the Ruger anymore. The Canik has such a nice trigger right out of the box! I still carry the Ruger, because its a good compromise of capacity vs. size, but If I'll be wearing something that makes it easy to conceal (such as a suit jacket), the Elite is my choice of carry gun. Very reliable, shoots anything I run through it, accurate, and looks great! I have well over 2,000 rounds through it with no problems whatsoever. I will say that someone with a weak wrist will probably get FTE. That happens to my wife quite often, But for me, it runs flawlessly!

Chiappa 1911-22. If you have never had one you’ll never understand. It’s cheap pot metal with crappy plastic mags, but just go shoot it.

Well this is going to be embarrassing. I wish I could say it is something rare and valuable but it it the lowly $300 SW22 Victory.
With a Tandemkross trigger and hammer the trigger pull is now 1.5 lbs. Altamont grips and a Vortex Venom red dot sight make this the easiest gun to shoot. Any gun that you can be accurate with becomes your favorite.
It is so much fun that I've run 21,000 rounds through it and I see no sign of stopping any time soon.

Rifle: Winchester Model 70 Featherweight in .270 Win. It’s been my pet deer rifle since the mid ‘70s.

Pistol: I’ve got a Colt Woodsman, that my son has “borrowed” although I’d have to say my S&W Model 29, 8 3/8 inch barrel, early model with counter-bored cylinder and pined barrel that I bought new sometime in the late ‘70s or early ‘80s. Shot many metallic silhouette matches with it.

Shotgun: Beretta Silver Pigeon 12-gauge O/U a great skeet and sporting clays gun.

I’ve got other favorites, different horses for different courses…..

I also have a SW Victory , bought new off of gunbroker for $270 , its a great little plinking gun , and very accurate right out of the box bone stock.

Revolver - Dan Wesson Model 15-2

Pistol - Dan Wesson Valor 1911

I have a DW 15-2 6inch barrel full heavy vented shroud , and a 4inch model 14-2 , love both of those pistols , such a good made revolver and the accuracy is superb.

Three favorites - my double stack Beretta 81 series pistols. Solid like a brick, smooth curves, large grip size for my big hands, easy carry, easy shooting and sexy Italian looks - what more could I ask for. They must be my favorites because they're the ones I fondle the most and there's always at least one in my range bag :-H
(BTW - my SFX with Venom red dot is a close second).

You shoot pet deer? No wonder you Texas guys are seen as bad ass. (sorry, it's 7am Sat morning and I'm bored. Too wet to cut the grass yet and I've already picked up the dog poo...what else to do but poke the bear?)

Pet is just another way to say favorite.... I like the way you think though :-BD

My favorite Pistol would have to be my H&K Fullsize USP 45. Shes a tank. I've had her for almost 20 years and she's still one of the softest shooting 45's I've ever shot.

My favorite rifle for sentimental reasons is my first. A daisy .22 single shot bolt action single shot. My dad got it for me brand new back in the 80's.

My favorite shogun also for sentimental reasons is my Mossberg 500A with a slugster barrel. Dad got it for me when I turned 16 to start deer hunting.

One of my all time favorites was (but not technically owned) was my issued Barrett M82 50 Cal. I loved that rifle. Didn't want to give her back when I left.

Handgun: stainless Ruger MkIII 22/45 mounted with a cheap 2 moa red dot. It's like firing a laser.

Rifle: toss up between my Remington Gamemaster 141 or my M1 Garand

It would have to be my Ruger SR9C!
My Canik SFX is a close second but the SR9C has to be #1.
Fits my hand!
Super reliable!
Accurate!
Tough as nails!
Fairly east to field strip all the way to the firing pin!
Oh yea....it’s a Ruger!
