Poor Ejection, Spring/rod upgrade

Post by Shadowthief187 » Thu Mar 28, 2019 11:17 am

Hello,

I am new to the forum and newish to the shooting sport in general. I was looking into changing my guide rod/Spring because my empty cases have a tendency to eject towards my body while shooting. They end up on my forearms, hat and sometimes in my shirt. I was looking at a few options I found on the forums, but do I need to go 20-22-24lb ? or go to a glock and 17lb. I'm a little confused on which one to purchase I shoot for the most part 115 gr winchester. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

If you're running the original RSA, contact Century and tell them you're having "ejection issues". They'll send you a reduced weight spring. The lighter RSA is between 18-18.5#, at least that is what was stated on the packing slip that was sent with mine.

They responded very quickly for me, and others on the forum, and I had mine within 5 days for my Elite.
I still the have the old one, and am tempted to swap it in to feel the difference, but am in such a shooting "groove" that I don't want ruin the juju!

I sent them an e-mail for the same issue I'm having with an older TP9SA. The responded asking for my serial number and that's as far as it's gotten to date. I guess if you have an older pistol your S.O.L.

Took me couple months to get my new spring from them. They said they were out and waiting for a shipment. I called about every 3 weeks to to check on it and to be persistent.
