I own both and am trying to decide if I should sell the Canik now (Bought that before I bought the 19X).

The Canik us my backup EDC. The 19X would then fill that role if I sold the Canik.

The have a similar weight amd size w/the 19X grip being longer, of course.

I have a RDS on the Canik. I'd have to send the 19X slide out to be milled if I wanted a RDS on it. RDS is not a deal breaker for me, but it's a knock against the Glock regardless.

Anyone have any thoughts or opinions?

Longer grip = harder to conceal.

Grip length is what contributes to printing the most. I like the longer barrel length with a shorter grip. I'm not a fan of the modern fad of short-slide long-grip pistols!

I carry IWB so that's not a huge concern for me

What difference does IWB vs OWB make for concealing the grip?

100%

A full-size frame with a short slide is just dumb.

To me, the Canik is a CLEAR winner over the G19X. Better trigger, better sights, optic-ready, more concealable, and you CAN carry it with a 20-round mag, if you want to.

But, for a backup, I would sell them both and get a Canik Mete MC9.

If it works for you go for it. I like Glocks but I'm with everyone else on the full sized grips I own a few various 19's but the X is one I have no interest in. Sometimes you can find 19 slides for close to the price of sending yours out to be milled, might want to consider just getting an extra slide thats already cut.

This isn't a suggest a 3rd pistol thread. ;)

I have a IWB holster for the Canik, but not 19X yet. I put the 29X in that holster and, while clearly not a perfect fit, it gave me enough of an idea. The 19X grip vs Hellcat Pro grip, in same brand holster, stick out about the same amount. Clearly the 19X is thicker, but the Canik is thicker than the Glock
