Thanks to Tomma and John Riggs for making the video
:-BD That was so AWESOME!!!
Before the comments in the video, I'm thinking NICE GRIP, GOOD GUN CONTROL, and EXCELLENT MAG CHANGES!
It won't be long before her "competition shirt" is covered with sponsors!!!

Also had to comment on the nice job you did braiding her hair!
I'm sure mom get's the credit for that!

OK, here's one from stage 4 of my first timed steel match on 10 FEB. My "video production assistant" was only available for two stages.

There were 6 total stages, was set for 150 rounds minimum (I well exceeded) and was the second most fun you can have with your cloths on. Don't ask what the first one is.

If I can do it (and show video evidence) so can anybody. I'm more 62 than 61; never too late to start. Boy-oh-boy is it fun. The other shooters are helpful and only bust your butt when needed. And it was often.

Had an IDPA match yesterday at Old Colony Sportsmen Association in Pembroke. Weather was a little chill at the start, 34*, but warmed up as the sun was shining.

Had a couple mistakes...stage 3, my second stage, I was the first shooter and wasn't completely ready. Didn't catch that it was a "limited count" stage, and also shot one target out of sequence shooting off-hand. A couple times I was riding my strong thumb on the slide release and didn't have it lock back. That's where USPSA is so much nicer, drop a mag on the go and not worrying about it having ammo in it!!! Planned right you never have your slide lock back. Made a bad decision on stage 5 to shoot from the left side instead of going to the right and shooting strong hand only. All in all, it was a decent outing.

Pretty happy with the camera. I shot in "narrow field-of-view" mode, and think I'm going to try the wide angle view next time to see how it compares. Only trouble I has was on the second stage I shot, I must have stopped it before scoring, as it was cut short. The one thing I found was with 2 hours of recording time, not to wait until the last minute to make sure it on and recording.

Mental mistakes happen. Good accuracy is the most important thing for new shooters, because once speed gets involved it is very hard to go back and tighten up groups.

IDPA rules are different, but they are much better than they used to be. MUCH better. Under the old set way too many penalties were strickly judgement calls for an SO, with no good way to deal with SOs who went way beyond what the rule book called for.
