Re: ORDERED - IWI MASADA

Again, the trouble with branching out from 1911 and Canik is the magazine platform. When going to the indoor range, I like to load up 8-10 mags of each and spend more time shooting that reloading. So it isn't just the cost of the gun, but a bunch of mags as well. That being said, I am considering ma...

Re: Everyone prepared for the Apocalypse?

Pro tip: Walmart stocks shelves overnight, so if you are an early riser, a 5AM trip and you might get lucky and score some TP.

A good example why you should either be stacking it deep or not married to one caliber. 9mm and 5.56 drying up locally but still plenty of .45, 10mm, 5.7, x39, 5.45 on the shelves.
And one of the benefits of being a 6.5 Grendel shooter, all you want on the shelf...

Re: Everyone prepared for the Apocalypse?

Granted, I always keep a few hundred 9mm HST and .223 64gr and 77gr Gold Dots for SHTF. I started progressive reloading after the Obama anti-2A initiatives, just in case, but only for .45acp for my 1911. This is before I discovered Caniks. I still have thousands of bullets and primers and hundreds o...

Re: Everyone prepared for the Apocalypse?

According to the fed govt biotech website, the H1N1 swine flu in 2009-2010 had 60.8 MILLION infected, 274,000 hospitalized, and 12,469 deaths -just in the USA! Re: Coronavirus - No Accident ?????

I dont know about being purposely released but I think its possible its a bioweapon that was accidentally released, Wuhan does have a PRC bioweapons lab. It is almost definitely an accidental escape from the Wuhan bioweapons lab. According to a Harvard PhD viral statistician, this coronavirus is 4x...

Re: Ammo for sale today.....

So I went to range last Wed and noticed that in the 9mm section of the garage, the ammo cans were a bit light. I shot up 200-300 rounds anyway and when I got home I went to order a case. That's when I found out that the world had gone nuts on not just TP. Went to Cabelas this morning and the shelves...

Mines better cuz I haven't broken it yet by taking it apart so many times. Oh sure. I start a thread about "How I Broke my SFx" and now I'm being bullied for it. (By a sailor no less...) This is going to force me to chant my mantra and align my chakra and beat my spirit drum and recenter. Besides, ...

JM #13 to be exact... I had that last Wednesday after hitting the range with a buddy. Mike's way, no tomatoes and extra onions..... He was a Jersey Mike's "virgin". That's almost perfect (and a bit scary...). Mike's way, no tomatoes and extra PICKLES... Pro tip: then you take the two halves, take o...

Agreed, an Olight equipped, 20 round mag SF is a great nightstand gun.

Re: Thinking About Getting Into Reloading, Any Suggestions?

Yes, poorly worded on my part. Pawl tuning was required only on the very first setup.

Due to the large difference between throw weights, you need to change the powder disk between rifle and pistol. (This should be much easier BTW, there has to be a better solution...)

Re: Red Dot Sight Question

On the Venom, no warning, you're screwed.

But running it an hour at a time and turning it off between, probably at 100 hrs on a battery and still going.

Re: Thinking About Getting Into Reloading, Any Suggestions?

This reminds me of the thread that we had on the the lifetime cost of the gun. Assume 10K rounds per year if you are really shooting them up, even at $100/1K reloaded, you are going to spend $10K over 10 years on components. The $100 upfront difference in cost between Lee and LnL or $100 between LnL...

Re: Just had my 1st Popeyes Fried Chicken sandwich!

I don't have chicken sandwiches often, but when I do, it's a Popeye's!

Classic, not spicy.

Seriously, they are that good. I saw the hype and waited for it to die down before trying one, worth it (still wouldn't go too far out of my way for any chicken sandwich vs a good burger).
