Re: Hornady press any good?

Don't mean to start arguments just trying to find what will work best for my current budget, the Hornady and other needed equipment and supplies I could swing now, the Dillon will have to go slow and piece stuff together over time. I know if I ask my friend who reloads he'll say Dillon but he has m...

Re: How is everyone’s job status

Been working from home for decades. They recently opened a corporate office nearby and although I actually have an assigned cube now I have never sat in it and it's shut down now anyway. I told the wife that I expect that we will get furloughed if this runs a few more months, but as of now, the conf...

Re: That firearm in an unpopular/oddball chambering

For months I've been talking about adding a .40 to my collection again, and a .357 revolver. Unfortunately that pesky issue of money, or lack there of gets in the way. Kinda regretting now I dragged my feet. Fortunately I'm sitting ok on ammo supply, but there's no such thing as "too much". I'll be...

Re: Canik and Panic Buying

I stopped at the LGS on Saturday, and they were very busy. This past week has been busier than Christmas, Black Friday, etc etc. He hates the panic, but is making money on it... Haven't heard from you lately. Thought might be quarantined in China or somewhere on one of your other world travels. App...

Re: Body Armor

Although I wouldn't carry it every day, a backpack equipped with a simple LIII plate to use as a shield might be an idea to keep in the car. Besides watching videos, I have shot cars on ranges and can attest (as I am sure zeda can confirm) that car steel is so thin as to be useless. BTW, just like w...

Re: Ammunition Insecure

This is an amazing idea. Consider that the hunger statistics in the US are based on the definition of "hunger" as if you missed ONE meal in a YEAR due to a lack of funds. But that hasn't produced enough to justify the spending, so they redefined it as "food insecure" if you THOUGHT that you might mi...

Re: GHB (Get Home Bag)

I have an SUV that doesn't have a trunk, so I picked up a Plano Storage box at Academy to keep everything organized. I have a lock on it and cable to keep it secure. https://www.academy.com/shop/pdp/plano%C2%AE-storage-locker#repChildCatid=3516443 Same problem, but a smaller solution. I have a whit...

Re: Current State of Guns, Ammo, Mags, Etc.

Thanks Janik, good video, this guy did a very professional job. I might buy another receiver just to make a Franken-upper out of spare parts that I have laying around, but only if the endless honey do list ever ends... Also, it turns out that people are actually doing work while working from home. D...

Re: Everyone prepared for the Apocalypse?

Seriously? The typical modern home is indefensible against a serious attack. Too many windows and the siding is useless. Brick helps. The only advantage is that it displays that the target is more hardened than others so someone might skip it for a softer target. OTOH, it displays that prepper store...

But since you can't get 124 NATO right now, try locking the slide back for a few days and see if that helps.

You could also ask Century for the free lighter RSA.

Not a CPA. I believe that it has to be required to maintain a license or required by regulation.

Yes, they are going to pay us our money which we (or our children) will have to pay back. Not a good deal.

It is a sign of desperation though.

SG Ammo is not taking ANY orders for ammo. They say that they are 10 days behind on orders and can't take anymore for a while.

Sure. Cut off the stock, glue on a brace, cut the barrel to 7" and make a "pistol" out of it...

Re: Everyone prepared for the Apocalypse?

A good example why you should either be stacking it deep or not married to one caliber. 9mm and 5.56 drying up locally but still plenty of .45, 10mm, 5.7, x39, 5.45 on the shelves. And one of the benefits of being a 6.5 Grendel shooter, all you want on the shelf... Yep always good to have a few non...
