Re: ALIEN PISTOL...WOW!!!!!

It is a cool design but I will be holding off before I even consider buying one for quite some time for competition. 1. Zero aftermarket support for the moment and that will continue until there are a decent number of them being used. That might be years from now if they stick with a $5k price tag o...

Another option might be to get a standard mag release from Century Arms:

Re: The Offical Red Dot Thread

I came across this "Optic Lens Pen" and thought it would be great to clean the red dot optic lens. On one end there is a soft brush to remove any dust and dirt, and the other is a soft pad with carbon to actually "clean" the lens. Amazon has a kit that includes an air bulb, a soft brush, a lens pen...

Re: Holosun 507C Red Dot

Just received a online quote for the HS507C. $249.00. $10.61 ship. I paid $226 out the door from TheGunDock.Com. I searched in gundeals.com and they listed an "request a quote via e-mail". They price came back as $219 + shipping. SOLD! The Gun Dock typically has a nice price on the DPP as well - yo...

Re: Nils Jonasson and Canik/Century

If they wanted to change the trigger guard undercut that’s easy - make it like the one on the SAR9. It’s one of the best factory jobs I have seen.

Re: Sfx groupings

Full V2 mag at 10 yards...obviously on a day my eyes were cooperating: VERY NICE!!!! Agreed...ammo definitely makes a difference. The expectations you mentioned for competitive shooting are made easier to achieve with low PF ammo. It makes a huge difference in how flat the gun runs! Or finding the ...

Re: Sfx groupings

Several factors go into pistol accuracy and the ammo plays a huge part. If your ammo is inconsistent, it will not matter what you or the gun can do. As for the SFx, mine will consistently group under 2” at 25 yards if I use good ammo and shoot from a bench. That is the standard I use when testing my...

Re: The SHTF Gun

Another problem that people often forget about is the fall back reloading solution. “If SHTF, I will just reload” The last gun ban scare was yet again an example of what you could expect. Brass for all common calibers was basically gone, powder for most calibers (especially the best options) was als...

Re: Holosun 507C Red Dot

Unless I'm missing it, it appears the 509 will only mount to Pic rails so probably not an option for a pistol. Can’t remember the name of the company at the moment but there is at least one that makes a dovetail to low profile pic mount. Might still be better off going with the 507 or 508 as the 50...

Do you wear a Stormtrooper uniform when you shoot that?
Living human tissue over a hyperalloy combat chassis - micro processor-controlled, fully armored. Very tough.

Re: The SHTF Gun

Okay - a serious answer for a change. Given the option, I would actually want at least three: 1. Ruger 10/22 - preferably suppressed with 25 or 30 round mags 2. SR762 - also suppressed. It’s fairly compact for the amount of firepower, .308 is everywhere, the adjustable piston system lets it run when...

Re: NEW Trijicon SRO...

I think one of the stock optics plates could be modified to work with the R3, R3 Max or the RTS2. It wouldn’t take much effort. The second approach would be more permanent but maybe not that big of a deal if you plan on always running one of the larger optics on the SFx. You’d just have to have clea...

The 508 looks very similar to the 507
The 509 is an enclosed version - somewhat like the new Aimpoint.
Specs claim they all have the same window size.

Re: NEW Trijicon SRO...

SRO has about the same window size as the Cmore RTS-2 which is also about the same size as the Romeo3. The Romeo 3 Max is supposed to be out by July - it has a considerably larger window than the SRO/RTS2/R3 but there may be some fitment issues with the SFX or any other pistol using a slide cut that...

Good deal

These get no tacticool points but they are a great deal. The blades are typically shaving sharp out of the box and the handles are very comfortable. The sheath seems a little cheap at first but I have never had one give up. They are great to throw in gear bags and for camping - if you lose one, it’s...
