I would not expect any issues with this type of situation. The firearm is far hotter when fired than it is in the safe. The ammo can sit in that hot chamber with no issues. I know it's days compared to minutes sometimes but the military exposure examples as stated above also hold true.
Oh, hi Mark!
Thank you for joining our forum and thank the both of you for joining in our hobby. Welcome!
Neither is envy.
This has been something that I am not satisfied with. The cerakote on my SFx example has begun to wear off much sooner than I would have liked. With a name like "Sandpaper", I can only imagine that you have trouble with surface wear on guns or anything for that matter... :d It's what I li...
My guess is you have cerakote on the mating surfaces of both the upper and lower forcing them apart just enough to make the pin hard to work. JG I would tend to agree with this assessment based on your explanation of the issue. Sounds like the coat on the bottom of the upper and top of the lower ar...
Thank you. I started with the winchester WB too, 124gr.
Welcome to the forum. Congrats on your first gun! You went all out on the color fill. Looks cool. Nice boolats too, is that Duty or Defense? What did you use for your first 200? Just curious.
Be careful of the definitions. I believe that the next SFX to be released in the US will be the Mod2, not the Mete. Extended slide release, nickel internals, maybe a mag funnel, definitely not a threaded barrel. This is true. Mete is only available to Euro law/mil according to Canik. But hey, we wi...
This has been something that I am not satisfied with. The cerakote on my SFx example has begun to wear off much sooner than I would have liked. There are many spots on front of slide area where stainless is coming through. Less than 6 months and shy of 3k. From my experience Nitride is much more dur...
I really like that the new slide cut leaves the rear sight in place. This company listens to its customers. Yeah but it only accommodates the micro RDS's (or whatever they're called) which severely limits your choices. And from what I have seen, you are looking at $400 for one versus the going rate...

Here is a photo of the SFx Mete
I have a feeling going forward, most, if not all Canik models will have an optic cut. Either they will modify the current design, or call it a Mod2 or something of that nature. I hope so (and that they come to the U.S. market). The SFx was my first dot ready pistol and I am smitten with the concept.
Was able to find this pic of the SF Mete-S. Hmm, that photo doesn't appear to have the optics cut. Edit: Nevermind, it's there I guess. Just hard to see aside from the bolt hole at the top. https://www.canikarms.com/assets/img/product_colors/tp9-sf-mete-s-93-list.jpg That is what I also look for to...

Since I don't believe that Canik has ever released a Mete version in the US, I think that they may be more geared towards the Euro LEO/military market. Besides, it is usually at least a year between when something is announced in Turkey vs available here in the US (if ever). The videos do mention t...
How are they different from the regular series.... doesn't really explain that. Looks like most models now have optic cuts, mag funnel ready, different sights. For instance the SFx Mete has threaded barrel, magazine funnel, new sights, nickel plated internal parts, comes with one 18 and two 20 maga...
