Re: First Timer

"I think I need to create an ammo account"
LOL - I have accounts at 12 sites just for ammo! :-D Glad to see some of the ammo I prefer to shoot is finally coming back in stock. (Fiocchi 124gr being one of them ;-) )

Enjoy,

Re: CANIK ON SALE AT GAG

Looking at that picture - I never think of my Elite barrel being slightly longer than my DA, though I know it is. It's deceiving, maybe due to the burnt bronze coloring, or the grip length, but the DA always looks longer to me. The plus side is that the DA fits pretty snugly into my Clinger holster ...

Re: This is acceptable, I think NOT..

I am certainly not disagreeing, but for argument sake and knowing the BS involved in politics - and how little else these ass-clowns have to offer, how much of it is just an overblown dog-and-pony show that realistically would never see the light of day? I do not consider myself, by any means, polit...

Re: Just ordered my first Canik.

Happy long-time user of Lazerlyte training bullets and Tipton snap caps. The former is over a year old, used frequently, and yet to have to change the battery or O-ring. The later - arguably one of the best manufactured; no flaking that I have ever seen, hold up well for hundreds of "primer" strikes...

Re: Military vs Civilian Shooter. Which one is better?

My Personal Instructor has told me me a book load of stories about about the lack of skilled handgun shooting he's dealt with while qualifying/training LE and ex-Military. His reasoning - not all LE and Military personnel are necessarily "gun guys & girls" like us here. The civies who progress throu...

Re: Hello from central Texas

"......I really wished I had taken him up on it." \ Certainly nothing wrong with having multiple Canik models - most here do, but, it comes down to the purpose of the gun. Don't let them sell you anything that doesn't fit your need at that particular time. (Range Toy, Self Defense, Competition, etc...

Re: Hello from central Texas

Welcome, and great first choice! So much gun for so cheap, and a fantastic shooter right out of the box - with proper cleaning and ammo, of course ;-) Just remember it's a "NATO" gun, and has a stiff/strong RSA, so may need some working in with NATA 124gr, for instance. Best wishes, and stay safe! N...

Re: Confirmed 18rd Magazines (not sure for how long)

Unreal, I saw that today. The one and only place I could find that has 18rd mags - which I need, and they mistakenly won't ship to my county - "Crook County", Illinois. (nothing past 10 rds). I keep trying to educate these suppliers that I DO NOT LIVE IN CHICAGO . Unfortunately, very few places care...

Yes, a bit expensive, but I got it for my wife's SC, and it feels great.

Re: Canik TP9DA and a Red Dot

Hi Janik,
Tall order, but would you mind taking a few pics closer up of the rear sides and rear of the gun. I am interested in closeups of the fit.
Thanks!

Re: Question for owners of both an Elite and Elite SC

I have an Elite, and my wife has the SC. I'd agree, the SC feels a bit easier to rack. That said, as I got more shots through my Elite, it really softened up as well.

Re: Who is actually stuck at home?

Not much in the way of progress here in Chicago area. Stuck at home, for the most part. We live next to a bike path, and we utilize it often. I have always been a railroad/train nut, so we get out and watch railroad action in all the heavy traffic areas here on the weekend to pass the time. I've wor...

Way to go brother, I paired mine with the Baldr Pro as well. Badazz combo! I put Night Fision sights on as well, and it is a great EDC, and my main training gun.

Enjoy!

Re: Another Newbie Reporting In

Sit tight, and hope for the best. My range just notified all shooters in their system that they will reopen for shooting on the 16th, with some strict guidelines: Aside from the 2 private enclosed lanes, only 8 of 14 lanes will be open for proper distancing. Non members can only shoot by reservation...

Disclaimer first - I apologize for not knowing your level of shooting experience. If my comments are "old news", then toss 'em in the can :) Sounds like sight alignment more than sight picture, yes? Before pushing the target out to 30 ft., make sure the "center" or "bulls-eye" is in line with your e...
