Re: Who carries a Canik

Taking my CCW in April, and the thought was to carry my Elite. DA also fits in the holster, but I like the shorter Elite grip - and I shoot it with a higher degree of accuracy and confidence. But, I agree with you higgybaby, the new compact Elite will find it's way pretty quickly into my rotation, I...

Re: OCD: Obsessive Cleaning Disorder

I'm as nuts as you, LT. I try to rationalize to myself that cleaning it now will take less time than cleaning it after a few range sessions. I'll stick with that. 8-}

Re: CANIK TP9 SUB ELITE

Pinch me....am I dreaming? Just got back from the range with my wife (Friday night "date night", 2 for 1 range price), and was again looking at compact guns. Had her fathers VP9sk, which I liked shooting, but have grown to like the Beretta APX Compact of late. It feels great in my hands, s...

Re: I don't play with my laser all the time

That's some nice work! I would be interested in a DA or Elite myself. What is the size of the mat?

New Clinger Ultra-Conceal OWB Holster Question

Hello folks, received my first holster, a Clinger Ultra-Conceal OWB, in preparation for CCW class this spring. I am impressed, and my Elite fits like a glove inside. Slight tension adjustment, and draw and re-holstering is smooth as silk, but secure. I understand some of the benefits of a Kydex hols...

Re: Another Failure to Eject

I too am not sure if I'll keep the fiber optic sights on. When ambient light is lacking, they seem lose their value. That said, I was told that there are different brands of fiber optic sights that almost seem to glow with good lighting, and provide better sighting even with lower light conditions. ...

Re: TP9SF Elite

Excellent first gun! Was my first 9mm as well, and it makes me look so much better than I probably am :P Going to be my EDC pretty soon. Looking to switch to Night Fision Perfect Dot Tritium Night Sights, though. Honestly, if you work it through the "break-in", you will no doubt enjoy shoo...

Re: Smith & Wesson M&P Shield EZ

If thinking other than Canik, I can endorse the H&K VP9, unless looking true compact/sub-compact. H&K puts together decent packages. One of the sweet things is that they add s/m/l/ side panels and back straps, so you can really customize your grip to fit. My wife loves to shoot hers. Very ni...

That is awesome, Squatch! What are the age limits for children in these types of competitions?

Re: Range Rituals

Mark up targets (mostly large 25x38 Bad Guy or Silhouette style targets) at home for distances and specific drills. At range, start practice with one or two mags of slow single shots at 20, 25, 30ft., with the goal of groups within 2 to 3 inches in an 8 inch circle - either pre-drawn circle, or with...

Re: G42 and G2C - good afternoon at the range

Good to hear the praise for the G2C. I've been looking at picking one up too, as I keep seeing it priced at $188 or so at various websites. Checked it out twice at the local range, and didn't want to put it down. My only niggle is, I shoot lefty, and would really prefer an ambi slide catch lever, so...
