I've had similar run-in's with 1911 die-hards telling me my crap polymer pistols aren't worth a sh!t. I ask them to meet me on the range, that I always have my shot timer with me, and to try to outdraw me under 1.5 seconds with their big, heavy .45 '11. Funny, no takers yet. Don't get me wrong, I lo...

It pains me to no end to say how embarrassed I am to be a "modern" American at this time. To witness what our country has become, and the shameful people that control our destiny is beyond reproach. When I was 20, I was in a band called DECADENCE. While I understood the meaning, I never th...

Funny, and I can feel your pain. I have a 4 section foldout card/ID carrier where I carry my DL, CCW, NRA Instructors Card, and my range Draw Card & Membership cards. One night I was taking them out so I could scan copies of them for my bank lockbox, and had a panic attack when I couldn't find m...

"like an older post or even newer posts?" Under the old format, I'd select one of the forums and on the left side of the screen under "Topics", next to each post title/user, I'd see the create date of the post. Not to be confused where to the right, you see the date of the last u...

It may be because there is work being performed, but it keeps switching between light and dark mode own? I hope I am wording this clearly - when I go into a specific forum and look at topics, I no longer see the create date of posts like I used to. I see the last reply dates on the right, but not th...

On another note, I suggest carefully studying each company's caps, and how far they'll carry you into civil trial expenses.

Defensive rounds - as Janik said, Speer Gold Dot. Hornady Critical Defense is another well respected choice for "short" barrel personal defense. If these two are good enough for LE, then that says it all right there. I use Black Hills Honey Badger, however. I too own and carry an Elite. Gr...

Hey Moe!
I use Tipton snap caps for all of my calibers.
I use them when I dry fire so I can see the rounds when I press check, tap-rack-assess, etc. I just prefer using them vs. an empty gun & mag.

I agree, while the provided holster was a POS with my Elite a couple of years back, rub marks and wear are almost inevitable if you do a lot of holster draw/reholster dry fire, and range work. I have a Red X, which is great, but with the amount of draw/reholster reps I do at home and at the range, r...

Love my M9 22LR  Been looking online of late for a Taurus TX22, but can't find one. Ammo - I've learned my lesson through this Scamdemic....when things come back to some sense of normality I'm going to buy a safe, and stockpile ammo in it until the door has a hard time closing. It is a NATO standard gun, so it certainly can use NATO ammo. Many of us have run a box or two through new Elite's to loosen up the stiff factory RSA.
