Re: Which TP9 Would Be the Best All-Around Choice.

Boy, that is tough to answer...which one of your children do you love most? Which yahoo is the biggest yahoo in this forum? Both difficult questions to answer. But really, it depends what you wish to do. Home defense? CC? competition? I know you said "all-around". If only one, and "one for all seas...

Re: Any one tried one of these Speed loaders

No, there is practice for gun games, practice for combat, practice for accuracy and then just plain old having fun shooting.

Depends on what your goal is.

Re: Any one tried one of these Speed loaders

If shooting for speed, then one 8" target lasts a long time. As long as I am hitting it why change? (Sure, every once in a blue moon I might actually miss, but that's what pasters are for ) For accuracy, then yes, center cut of 8" at a slower speed. Buying a bunch of 8" stick on splatter targets mea...

Re: Any one tried one of these Speed loaders

Never realized that people load differently for the range. I always pre-load max mags and then at the range reload max mags. Shoot til the ammo runs out.

Which means that the Lula (and a spare and a spare for that one) is pretty much mandatory.

Re: CANIK TP9 SUB ELITE

I saw the RMR as a nice to have. It is made for EDC and I just don't see carrying an optic making sense for me.

Still more frustrated with the lack of availability.

Re: My First Canik

Nice photo, but I believe that the sub does have a shorter RMR cut and only takes the Shield at this time.

A photo with a Holosun or Venom installed would disprove this if you can find one.

Re: How Canik TP9 Trigger Safety Works Video

There's also quite a bit of irony that those areas/states on that map that show the hightest amounts of homicides are also generally the states with the tightest gun control laws. While not every homicide is committed with a gun, it still goes to show that gun control does not stop bad people from ...

Re: How Canik TP9 Trigger Safety Works Video

If I can presume to clarify Janik's comment, most of the gun violence in the US is due to an inner city urban subculture, and even then only a few cities (Chicago, NYC, Miami, Philadelphia, LA) make up most of that. If this is accounted for, our gun crime rate is only slightly higher than anywhere e...

The last time we visited France I successfully negotiated a day at Omaha Beach in return for seven days of shopping in Paris and an Hermes scarf.

It's it was a fair trade.

Re: How Canik TP9 Trigger Safety Works Video

Aha. I thought that you had mentioned a THUMB safety option (like a 1911 or S&W M&P9). Yes, this version is available in the US as I have one.

I agree that it is fairly useless and hard to manipulate. Thanks for the idea about changing the spring.

Long nose tweezers. For what one costs on Amazon you can usually get a set of various headed tweezers including the long angled nose. Still less than $10.

Re: Need opinions

OK, so I am wrong on the 45 (Glock) but still not wrong on the .45 (1911)...

Given that you don't have a Glock, the decision is easy, get the Elite. Keep magazine management down to a minimum.

Re: Need opinions

Depends on what you have already.

I wouldn't just take the best deal, if I didn't already have an elite, I'd definitely get the elite, it is a heck of a pistol.

But then I also think that if you want a 45, you get a 1911, period. So I'm biased.

Yeah, you have to use match ammo for the best results. Interestingly, my accuracy AR15 loves both 55gr Hornady Vmax and 77gr Sig and Federal Match.

Re: Sarsilmaz pistol comments

Yep, Turkish gun prices are dropping like a rock. Probably due to Erdogan's failed economic policies finally coming home to roost. I wish the new Canik's would come out at these kinds of prices. It is possible that they can't afford to ramp up new products at this time, although Turkey needs all of ...
