Re: Greetings from Italy

According to Google Translate:

TP: Welcome! Can I buy your niece's dolphin?

RI: Thanks! The sun sets blue on the Italian pretzel.

TP: Good Morning! Linda Gray was hot in her day, with anchovies.

RI: The Cowboys suck but Canik's are great!

Re: Greetings from Italy

Thanks! I Googled the 9x21 and was amazed that the only reason for its existence was due to silly laws like Italy's. Yet ingenuity overcame the law, just at a greater expense. Also, having watched a Sunday night Steelers football game while in Italy, I know that is around 4am there, so get some sleep!

Re: Greetings from Italy

Italy is a phenomenal country to visit, I really enjoyed it and the people there.

Welcome to the forum.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of laws do you have to deal with in order to own and use a gun in Italy?

NRA Show next month in Indy, maybe Mod2 intro'd then so clearing old stock?

Who knows, but would be a steal for a great gun otherwise.

Re: TP9 SF vs TP9 SF E;lite size

anyone have a picture of the SF and SF Elite side by side so I can get a size comparison? know that the SF is a little longer but I need to see them if possible. You can download the e-catalog from the Turkish site which has all of the pictures and specifications: https://www.canikarms.com/en .

Re: Cleaning elite combat

Depends on your definition of dirty, but FWIW, both my SFX and Elite are dirtier after shooting than my other pistols, but nothing dramatic.

I have taken to cleaning all of my semis' ramps with a little Slip 725 cleaner on a felt Dremel tip (no polishing compound). Works very quickly.

Re: 1911 Build: FINISHED!!!!

So do you notice the compensator and does it make a difference? FWIW, the Wilson bushing comp works great on my Kimber, it really makes a difference controlling flip and on follow up shots. The downside is that it blackens the front sight so don't spend too much on a Kensight like some idiot did...

FWIW, I have used both the Elite mags and the SFX mags in my Elite-S and never had a problem.

Re: Experience with Crimson Trace lights?

Having been in this industry at one point, just for reference the actual 1000 lumen LED costs about $1. The control circuitry is about $0.25. The switches are about ten cents each. The aluminum tube and other parts and included battery are probably less than $5. All in, less than $10 in costs. All o...

Re: CANIK TP9 SUB ELITE

Firstly, stop posting pics! It's driving me crazy with gun envy!... If you look at the specs, the width is identical to the SFX and Elite, so I think that it would be fair to classify it as a chopped down Elite, being a half inch shorter in length and 3/4 inch less in height. It will also be 1/4 pou...

Re: Field & Stream (Dick's) may close....

"Dick’s Sporting Goods to Remove Guns From 125 Stores" - WSJ The blowback from dropping "assault rifles" has devastated Dick's overall gun sales, so they are pulling guns altogether from 125 stores and using the space to sell something else. I have not been in a Dick's since they took this stance, a...

Re: Failure to eject

Google: Winchester Q4318 That is the most popular brand here in the US. It is NOT the usual Winchester white box (WWB) 115gr soft recoiling ammo. Your local Walmart (usually) or Palmetto State Armory (as of today, 3/11/19) has it in stock for less than $9/50 round box. Sometimes they come in 150 or ...

Re: Help me with FTE (not on a new pistol)

I think that you misunderstood. By making ANY changes to the stock SFX over the course of the 50k rounds and using ANY ammo other than 124gr NATO voids the expectation that it will run to 50k rounds. And I am not certain that the expectation that the Canik testing applies to every model is also reas...

Re: Help me with FTE (not on a new pistol)

Ah, but you changed a number of variables in the equation. They are supposed to run to 50k rounds absolutely stock with only 124gr NATO spec ammo.

Changing variables changes the outcome.

Excel spreadsheets! You made my day :YMHUG: I did have to look up COAL seeing as I am not a reloaded (yet).
