Re: 2019 Shot Show News.....

This is exactly what I want in a new Canik model. I don't care about the optic cutout, but I like the size, capacity, and general design. I would definitely like having this to add to my CC rotation. I would buy it in a minute as soon as (or if) it is available in the US (assuming it isn't $699...).

Re: Turkish 1911 Review

Update: OK, so today the Tisas FINALLY operated reasonably reliably for the first time. Granted, I had a few "first round in the mag not quite fully loading into the chamber" hang ups, but that is considerably better than I ever had before. The round would hang up at about 45 degrees with the nose i...

Re: Patriots heading to the Superbowl, again

This morning I read that the Rams DB INTENTIONALLY hit the Saints receiver into the stands as he saw it as a walk in TD if he didn't considering how open he was and he was shocked that there wasn't a flag.

It was rigged! The Packers should have won!

BTW...anybody see the Badgers knock off the undefeated Wolverines on Saturday? Jump on the bandwagon...there is plenty of room.
Wait, UW plays something besides playing (ok, kinda sorta playing) football?...

Re: Patriots heading to the Superbowl, again

A couple of months after the Super Bowl it will be revealed that Belichick came up with a very creative new way to cheat. Lose a couple draft places and all will be forgiven by Goodell. The guy should be out of football for repeatedly cheating. And the Saints had the worst stolen game since the Jess...

Ha! I remember explaining that motto to my son when he was much younger. It amazes me how few people actually comprehend its simplicity.

Re: SFx spring replacement

The entire TP9 series was designed by Canik to be a duty pistol and go a minimum 50K rounds as its service life. I doubt that you have to worry about the springs. I upgraded to the Sprinco, which may or may not have a service duty lifetime, I have no way of knowing, but don't expect to change it. If...

Hmmm. Performance Center version comes with the RMR cut and still keeps the rear sight. What a concept!

It has been not quite a year, but I haven't needed to touch the zero since I first set it when I bought the Venom.

Had: Glenfield Model 25 bolt action (actually a Marlin), extremely accurate. Got it from my father and gave it to my son. Glenfield Model 60 semi, accurate, great rifle, probably gave it away years ago. Have: Ruger 10/22, Hammer Forged Stainless Target Barrel, "if they ain't in the same hole you f'd...

S&W M&P Full Size 9mm

I've been invited to shoot in a USPSA event 28 JAN. I'll be going with a friend and his boys who will shoot also. So, we'll see how it goes. We're going to get together and go over firearm requirements & restrictions. Going over the rules it sounds like my M&P 9mm full-size will be good for the fir...

Re: The Offical Red Dot Thread

As the young people say, I'd like to give a shout out to Vortex for replacing my stripped Venom battery cover quickly for free (I offered to pay for a new one) and with absolutely no hassle. I think that they may have changed the slot design, but in any case, I either never had the right screwdriver...

Re: TP9SF or SFX? Non-competitive shooting

Thanks for your reply. Im curious to see how aht ADE works for you. Im interested in putting a red dot on but not interested enough to do $250 for it. If the $50 version works as well for a home defense situation or taking to the range, then ill try that. Im curious tho, how well do red dots in gen...

Re: TP9SF or SFX? Non-competitive shooting

You may never compete, but you will get old.

The red dot extends your pistol shooting fun by years, if not decades, so it will be good to have the option.

Re: Who carries a Canik

Yes, model 25.

It may be that the LH models are $17 and the RH are $26 (but out right now).

The SFX fit with the Venom. I assume that Elite Combats will as well.

Re: SFX Firing Pin Spring Retainer Clips...

Order a couple sets of clips for a Glock which look like they'll work...just curious if anyone here has tried using something other than the stock clips in their mods. I'm currently using a Glock 28N Red Spring and the Canick clips work fine. The only difference I've seen is the Canik ones appear t...

Re: Who carries a Canik

I tried a friend's M&P9 holster and it pretty much fit the SFX fine, so I ordered the OWB Serpa Sport from Amazon for $26. Wow. A perfect form fit for both the SFX and Elite-S. Lengthwise, the SFX juts out by maybe a half inch and the Elite is maybe a half inch inside. There is maybe a quarter inch ...

Re: Optics for AR 15 ?

I have the older Eotech with the CR123 battery and controls in the rear with a dot and circle reticle (sorry, on the road so I don't have the model number). The reticle is great for CQB ranges. It does lose zero slightly, which might matter a bit at 100 yds but not at all at CQB distances. Apparentl...
