Darn the luck...

As of this second at SG Ammo (5 in stock if you want it): 1000 Rounds - 9mm Luger 124 Grain FMJ NATO Military Spec Ammo Made by CBC in M2A1 Can - Limit 1 - 1000 Rounds $869.50 That is the equivalent of THREE Canik TP9 SF pistols at the going rate when I bought mine ($275). The SF is a great gun, bet...

Late last year I bought a few P80's for my winter tinkering project and learned a lot about Glocks. Now that is mostly complete, I have a couple of fairly reliable 9mm pistols (with connector/spring kit upgrades) that are not as accurate as my Caniks and have better than stock Glock triggers but not...

FWIW, I no longer believe a word that the FBI says, so their report that Reps are planning armed protests seems to be the Big Lie. Coordinated with the Dems to make DC into an armed camp. Also, it provides cover for no one going to the inauguration anyway and Biden not being able to give a coherent ...

Occasionally scored at Academy but balked at 15 person line to get in a few weeks ago.

Today the line was about 100. Went back an hour later and they were sold out (150/person max).

Hey, just a word of thanks to the forum staff here who correctly anticipated the totalitarian censoring going on everywhere since Dems "won" the election and moved to this forum months ago. Hopefully, they have chosen a non-woke hosting service, as GoDaddy is shutting down sites as well as...

Ha! Yes, when I tell my liberal friends that shooting 500 rd is a perfectly normal range session, they are aghast.

OTOH, I'm glad that they have no concept of that much practice with firearms...

My 9mm hoard is dwindling at about 1K rounds per 6 months, way slower than usual. As a result, I don't go as often and I don't bring steel, it's just too addictive. Now that the election is over, I will slow down even more. I'm not paying these prices and although we all thought it was going to be t...

According to the NSSF: - Firearms-ammunition manufacturing accounted for nearly 12,000 employees producing more than $4.1 billion in goods shipped in 2017. - An estimated 8.1 billion rounds, of all calibers and gauges, were produced in 2018 for the U.S. market. So that is $0.50/round average in 2017...

We may have a winner.

Agreed on grabbing the SF at that price ASAP.

FWIW, the SF (with upgraded Night Fision sights) has replaced my 1911 as my nightstand gun. That says a lot.

What weight of bullet are you planning to use?

I haven't noticed much of a difference between 14# and 15# with the W74 using 124gr commercial loads in my admittedly non-race configured SFx.

I agree with everything you said except my battery didn't last six months. Except for being in the safe, it's probably been out maybe 100 hours?

The good thing is, unlike the Venom on the SFX, when it is dead the iron sights are still there.
